I have had this disease since I was four years old, and I have begun to realize how serious this disease can be. I have had to have laser treatment performed on my eyes because I had difficulty controlling my diabetes through my college years. Today I started on a Minimed Paradigm 722 insulin pump.<\/p>\n<p>I have learned a lot about this disease from my mother-in-law, who is also diabetic, as well as through online research over the past few years.
