{"id":77312,"date":"2009-12-11T23:45:30","date_gmt":"2009-12-12T04:45:30","guid":{"rendered":"tag:www.vegan-food.net:\/\/6584cee916e667c0057c0511c9a6feb2"},"modified":"2009-12-11T23:45:30","modified_gmt":"2009-12-12T04:45:30","slug":"vegan-chili-legumes-red-kidney-bean","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/77312","title":{"rendered":"Vegan Chili( Legumes &#8211; Red kidney bean )"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Daily Random Recipe<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>INGREDIENTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul><UL><\/p>\n<li>Tofu\n<li>Teriyaki Sauce\n<li>2 T chili powder\n<li>1 green bell pepper, finely chopped\n<li>1 yellow onion, finely chopped\n<li>3-4 stalks celery, finely chopped\n<li>1 small can mushroom pieces\n<li>1 can red beans, drained\n<li>Roma tomatoes, sliced\n<li>Cilantro, finely shopped\n<li>V8 vegetable juice <u>or<\/u> canned crushed tomatoes <u>or<\/u> pasta sauce (optional)\n<li>Vegan veggie burgers, chopped (optional)<br \/>\n<\/UL><\/ul>\n<p \/><strong>METHOD:<\/strong><br \/>Cut tofu into very small pieces and sprinkle liberally with teriyaki sauce and chili powder. Mix the pieces and sauce and powder together well with a spoon and let it sit there for at least 15 minutes to marinate in the fridge.<\/p>\n<p>\nGet bell pepper, onion, celery, mushroom pieces, red beans, and roma tomatoes. You can also add some finely chopped cilantro at this point.<\/p>\n<p>\nAdd all ingredients together into a pot and turn on the flame. Only if necessary, add a *little* V8, canned crushed tomatoes, or pasta sauce to give it a little liquid. Don&#8217;t add very much at all because most of the liquid is going to come from the other foods and you&#8217;ll have to boil most<br \/>\nof it off anyway.<\/p>\n<p>\nBoil the food together, stirring frequently to prevent scorching. Make sure that almost all the liquid is boiled off or strained out before you serve the chili, because otherwise you&#8217;re going to end up with chili soup!<\/p>\n<p>\nIf you let it boil for about 15 minutes, it will taste and look like chili. <\/p>\n<p>\nIf you can find some vegan veggie burgers, it&#8217;s also good to add two of them chopped up into the mixture before you start boiling.
