I got back from the UK on Thursday night.  I had Friday off and was planning to use that to catch up at home and recover from the jet lag.  However, I spent all day at the hospital with my 88 year old father.  He has a history of heart disease and a checkup earlier in the week revealed a problem.  It turns out that two of his old bypasses were blocked so he got three more stents to add to his collection.  <\/p>\n<p>He seems to be doing fine.  I&#8217;m exhausted.  I seem to be the only one in my family who understands that we have to stay with our family members when they are ill like this.  I&#8217;ve a brother who lives here and he did come down for a while when I called but he didn&#8217;t stay.<\/p>\n<p>Dad&#8217;s wife is too old to stay around as well.  <\/p>\n<p>Sorry for the rant &#8211; I&#8217;m just tired and I need some time to get it back together after almost 2 weeks overseas.<\/p>\n<p>It is good to be back though&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Mark<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s good to be home.
