She has known she has T2 for over a year. Her control is minimal.She&#8217;s on Metformin 1000mg. She grazes pretty much all day and night. She tests about once a week. In fact, she says she <i>doesn&#8217;t<\/i> test because &quot;I eat all the time and I know it will be high.&quot; Erk. <\/p>\n<p>While MOm was here I talked to her about a low carb diet and the need to monitor her sugars so she can eat to her meter . She insists that her diabetic educator says she &quot;has&quot; to eat 45carbs per meal and 25 carbs per snack. \ud83d\ude2e OMG. I would be over 200 if I ate that many carbs. She weighs at least 190 and is making absolutely no attempt to lose weight. Her doctor is fine with that&#8211;he told her to just keep her sugars between 120 and 150!:eek:  OMG! OMG! I did get her to test fasting *once*. She was 129. <\/p>\n<p>Watching her eat just about made me sick. BBQ with white bread bun. Chocolate candy. Rice Krispies. Ice cream. Yesterday we went to a Japanese teppanyaki place where she ate almost 2 cups of fried rice. I&#8217;m still shaking my head. She has lost the feeling in both feet, but she says she&#8217;s okay because her cholesteral is fine. Ignore the fact that she has CHF, high blood pressure, severe sleep apnea and oh,yes, DIABETES! <\/p>\n<p>AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pardon me while I scream \ud83d\ude21 My mother came for a visit for the past 3 days.
