My question to any of you that remember your teen years….or maybe still are one. This past year she has not been wanting to deal with her diabetes very well. Sometimes I will see NO BG checks at all and a few days NO boluses…only basal. She is very active in sports and is a 4.0 student. I just can’t seem to convince her she needs to do better for her own health.

She goes to a Children’s Endo and that Endo on last visit said she is going to have her take a break from the Omnipod if this next visit does not show her doing at least 3 BG checks/day and 3 bolus/day minimum. WELL…her appt is about 1.5 months away and know she will not have 3 and 3. She says she does not want to go back to shots..but is not doing what she can to avoid it.

Any feedback or suggestions of how I can help her would be great. I don’t like nagging…but I do remind her a lot to check:)

Thanks!

I have 14 year old daughter with T1 (since 7 years/old) and is now on the Omnipod for over 1 year.
