The butterflies were raised by the students as part of the class\u0092 month-long science curriculum. The field trip will provide these youth early exposure to the college environment; with hopes of stimulating their desire to one day obtain a higher education. Potentially, these very students could be released onto college campuses in a decade to pursue degrees.
Note regarding butterfly release:<\/EM> With climate control, water features, and abundant plant life the Thornton Atrium is a natural choice in which to set the butterflies free, especially this time of year.
