Dubbed Sikat, the solar car is a successor to the Sinag, RP\u2019s first solar-powered car that was developed for the 2007 World Solar Car Challenge in Australia. <\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.instablogsimages.com\/images\/2009\/12\/17\/sikat-solar-car_2_DaSa3_69.jpg\" alt=\"sikat solar car_2\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Sikat features a much sleeker and maneuverable design that was made by a 33-member team of engineering students and faculty members from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dlsu.edu.ph\/\">De La Salle University<\/a>. The solar vehicle weighs only 190kg, about 100kg less than the Sinag.
