Then it spent all of 2008 rejecting an acquisition offer from&nbsp; Microsoft.<\/p>\n<p>After Yahoo, the decade&#8217;s next biggest waffler was Viacom.<\/p>\n<p>Viacom flirted with Facebook and MySpace, hoping either would recharge its flagging MTV brand on the web. It didn&#8217;t happen.
