I prefer Grade B maple syrup to Grade A; it&#8217;s more richly and complexly flavored and considerably less expensive.\u00c2\u00a0 More flavor for less cost, always makes for a winner in our home.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-2800 aligncenter\" title=\"maple glazed root vegetables\" src=\"http:\/\/nourishedkitchen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/rootveggies4-1024x640.jpg\" alt=\"maple glazed root vegetables\" width=\"512\" height=\"320\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\">Maple-glazed Root Vegetables<\/h2>\n<p>Maple-glazed root vegetables are featured in this month&#8217;s edition of <a href=\"http:\/\/feedproxy.google.com\/?page_id=2707\">Recipe Cards by Nourished Kitchen<\/a> which are 25% OFF through New Year&#8217;s Eve.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\">Ingredients for Maple-glazed Root Vegetables:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>3 Large Organic Carrots, Peeled<\/li>\n<li>3 Large Organic Parsnips, Peeled<\/li>\n<li>2 Tablespoons Ghee or Clarified Butter from Grass-fed Cows (see <a href=\"http:\/\/nourishedkitchen.com\/where-to-buy\/#butter\">sources<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>2 Tablespoons Organic Grade B Maple Syrup<\/li>\n<li>Dash Unrefined Sea Salt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Method for Preparing Maple-glazed Root Vegetables<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Julienne the peeled parsnips and carrots by cutting them into thin matchsticks no thicker than \u00c2\u00bc-inch.<\/li>\n<li>Melt the ghee in a skillet over medium heat.<\/li>\n<li>Add the julienned carrots and parsnips to the melted ghee, and stir continuously over medium heat until the vegetables become slightly tender &#8211; or about 5 &#8211; 6 minutes.\u00a0 Note that some of the parsnips and carrots may become slightly caramelized.<\/li>\n<li>Gently stir in the Grade B maple syrup and season with a dash salt.\u00a0 Continue to stir the carrots and parsnips for about 1 to 2 minutes or until the vegetables are well-glazed by the maple syrup.<\/li>\n<li>Serve warm.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Yield<\/strong>: Approximately four to six \u00bd-cup servings.<\/p>\n<p>Like these photos?
