I started taking Metformin immediately and dieting.  So far, I&#8217;ve lost 10 pounds and my morning BG was 108 today.  I know this is just the beginning of a lifelong journey, but I&#8217;m encouraged by how rapidly my bg dropped (it was 267 when I was diagnosed).  My husband is being great, encouraging me with my diet and comforting me when I&#8217;m down.
