{"id":96694,"date":"2009-12-15T01:00:00","date_gmt":"2009-12-15T06:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"tag:www.reallynatural.com,2009:\/\/2.2429"},"modified":"2009-12-15T01:00:00","modified_gmt":"2009-12-15T06:00:00","slug":"copenhagens-famous-tivoli-amusement-park-will-be-wind-powered","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/96694","title":{"rendered":"Copenhagen&#8217;s Famous Tivoli Amusement Park Will Be Wind-Powered"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Copenhagen Tivoli Haloween3.jpg\" src=\"http:\/\/www.reallynatural.com\/pictures\/Copenhagen%20Tivoli%20Haloween3.jpg\" class=\"mt-image-center\" style=\"margin: 0pt auto 20px; text-align: center; display: block;\" height=\"534\" width=\"401\" \/><br \/>\nIt is fitting that the city hosting important <a href=\"http:\/\/twilightearth.com\/news\/photo-sunday-special-edition-the-week-in-copenhagen\/\">climate talks<\/a> would move towards powering one its most famous attractions with wind power. <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tivoli_Gardens\">Tivoli Amusement Park<\/a> has been open since 1843, and now an offshore wind turbine will power the park. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ecofriend.org\/entry\/eco-tech-copenhagen-s-tivoli-amusement-park-to-get-power-from-an-offshore-wind-turbine\/\">Eco Friend<\/a> reports:\n<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The park has already made strong efforts at recycling and energy efficiency, and is now looking for ways to go carbon neutral.<\/p>\n<p>Tivoli Amusement Park has partnered with Danish Oil and Natural Gas, and the partnership has resulted in an agreement to install an extra wind turbine off Copenhagen&#8217;s coast. The turbine is undergoing final tests now, and when installed next year, it will be able to provide all the electricity the park needs.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\nEarlier this fall, the idea to turn a <a href=\"http:\/\/greenlivingideas.com\/topics\/alternative-energy\/closed-ford-auto-plant-retooled-renewable-energy\">closed Ford plant in Michigan<\/a> into an amusement park was scrapped in favor of renewable energy manufacturing plant.
