Lauer was promoted to the position of COO after Sanjay Jha left to become Motorola\u2019s co-CEO and CEO of Motorola\u2019s device\u2019s division. Prior to Qualcomm, Lauer was Sprint\u2019s COO. Lauer left Sprint (<a href=\"http:\/\/finance.paidcontent.org\/paidcontent?Page=QUOTE&#038;Ticker=S\" class=\"ticker\" title=\"S\">NYSE: S<\/a>) a year after it merged with Nextel.
