(26 Nov)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ft.com\/cms\/s\/2\/d45f6554-db83-11de-9424-00144feabdc0.html\">Financial Times<\/a> writes that insurers are now offering more flexible terms on plans that cover the cost of care in later life, including money-back guarantees. (28 Nov)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/money\/2009\/nov\/27\/reclaim-nhs-care-home-fees-wales\">The Observer<\/a> reports that thousands of families in Wales who were overcharged for care home fees may miss the deadline for backdated claims. (29 Nov)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dementia in the press<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/news\/uknews\/6629179\/90-year-old-woman-froze-to-death-after-wandering-away-from-care-home.html\">The Daily Telegraph<\/a> reports on the story of a 90-year-old woman with dementia who died after wandering away from her care home wearing only a thin dress. (23 Nov)<\/p>\n<p>In <em>The Guardian<\/em>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/commentisfree\/2009\/nov\/24\/response-dementia-hospital-care\">Roger Fisken<\/a> responds to criticisms of hospital staff over their treatment of those with dementia, saying that difficulties arise from a lack of information and time.
