Eco Factor: Teahouse made from sustainable materials.

Japanese architect Terunobu Fujimori has created a sustainable teahouse in Japan that gently sways in the breeze. Dubbed the Takasugi-an (translation: a tea house too high), it sits atop two chestnut trees cut from a nearby mountain and transported to the site.

The teahouse is only accessible only by a free-standing ladders propped against one of the trees. The teahouse features an interior covered with plaster and bamboo mats, adding to its sustainable credentials.
