Description of Organization:
Advertising Concepts, Inc. (ACI) is the publisher of 4 bimonthly lifestyle magazines – Chesterfield Living, West End’s Best, Hanover Lifestyle, and River City. Our lifestyle magazines are mailed directly to over 50,000 of the area’s most affluent homes and have a total circulation of over 70,000. Over the last 20 years, ACI has also published directories for several area chambers and associations, as well as direct mail coupon pieces. Early Spring, ACI will launch RichmondNavigator.com, which will combine editorial from all 4 publications, as well as feature original editorial, event listings, coupons, and more.
General job duties of Creative Advertising Internship:
• Creating ad ideas for client ads.
• Producing print ready ads for clients as specs or for print.
• General office and project support for Creative Director.
Qualifications applicants should possess:
• Creativity & talent in design.
• Basic understanding of print advertising.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Some experience with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, & Illustrator is preferred.
Internship training includes:
• Experience producing ads for print and the web.
• Work samples to add to portfolio.
• Experience working in the day to day preparation of a print publication.
This internship is offered year round. Hours are flexible. This is an unpaid internship.
