It seems there is a web forum for every topic, mainstream or niche. For some topics there are multiple forums, full of posts from thousands of users every day. Among the many BlackBerry-dedicated ones, I find myself browsing Howard Forums, PinStack, and CrackBerry the most. Depending on your device and operating system, you will experience different interfaces when dealing with forums. If you visit them from your BlackBerry browser frequently, you might want to check out a new application called BerryBlab. Its sole purpose is to provide a better way of viewing and posting on forums from your BlackBerry.
BerryBlab provides most core forum functionalities, all without using your web browser. You can access multiple forums with the software, viewing forums and sub-forums, threads, and private messages. That all comes with the free version, which provides limited image viewing as well.
The premium version adds the ability to reply to posts, reply to private message, and subscribe to and unsubscribe from threads. That in addition to full image viewing.
To download the free version, just head to http://www.berryblab.com/BlackBerry.aspx from your BlackBerry browser. If you want the premium version, visit the same site from your desktop browser and enter in the needed information before finishing the payment process. Make sure to check out the FAQ page if you do decide to try the software.
