Franklin Street Marketing is recruiting an intern to work over the summer (about 15-20 hours per week from the middle/end of May to the beginning/middle of August) to help prepare for a large healthcare marketing conference in September. The conference is hosted by the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development (SHSMD) and is being held in Chicago.
Each year at this conference, Franklin Street acts as concierge, so we need an intern to help us prepare by:
Researching the Chicago area
Contacting the board of tourism for information
Researching several local concierge services to hire
Becoming knowledgeable on the best restaurants, shops, and attractions/sites in the Chicago area that would best fit the audience at the conference
Helping with any research, planning, or scheduling involved with conference materials
Keeping a running record of all information gathered to be used at the conference.
The internship position here at Franklin Street is public relations and marketing related, focusing mainly on event planning and scheduling, so it would be most beneficial for a student looking to go into event planning.
