WePad has been a topic of many talks recently. Now at last, the spec sheet of WePad is in the open, thanks to UberGizmo. For those of you who don’t yet know what WePad is, it’s a tablet from NeoFonie which is aimed mostly at reading newspaper and magazines. It aims to get the interest of today’s new generation as well as the elder people. NeoFonie clearly states:
Elderly are the core target group of newspaper and magazine publishing house
So, without further ado, here goes the general specs:
- 11.6 inch display with a crisp 1366X768 resolution
- 1.66 GHz Intel Atom Processor
- 16/32 GB (Optional) Internal Memory
- 1.3 MP Webcam

- Multitasking Support
- Li-ion Battery
- Supports all basic eBook formats
- Bluetooth

For more details, see UberGizmos post.
These specifications makes iPad look a bit too ordinary. But we must bear in mind that Apple has always focused more on UI and User experience rather on hardware. The crux of this debate relies solely on users and will be more clear in days to come.
