There was an outside chance, very outside, that RIM would announce one of its three upcoming devices at CTIA. That has come and gone, though, and we did not see such an announcement. There’s still WES, though, about a month away, and hopefully we’ll hear something at that point. Over the next month, these devices will get plenty of airplay.

Highlights include:
I actually intended to start with a conversation about the Pearl 9100, since we got some high-res pics of it this week. It feels like this has been a long time in the making, probably because we haven’t seen a new Pearl device in quite a while. But it turned into something about the BlackBerry slider and the Palm Pre, and how RIM can benefit from their upcoming device. Of course, then I move onto the 9100, and lament the fact that we haven’t seen much in the way of rumored release dates.
BIS 3.0 without two-way Gmail sync? What gives? We don’t know, and probably never will. No one wants to hear it, but we’ll just have to wait another month, or two, or three until we see it. Hopefully we’ll see it before BIS 3.1, tentatively due out in June.
OS 6.0? I don’t have much, since we don’t know how recent those screenshots are, but it looks…different.
