Hello Viewers,
New Instructors, New Opportunities
Look out, America! Twenty-three new instructors have joined The Cancer Project within the last six months, extending the organization’s reach to six more states: Alabama, Minnesota, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Wisconsin. Not only will the important message of good nutrition be spreading across the United States, but also it will be crossing the Atlantic to reach a new population in the United Kingdom through our Educational Alliance Program. Visit our class resource page to see the latest offerings in your neighborhood now&hellip or hopefully in the near future!
Teaching Youth Food for Life
The best way to prevent cancer and other obesity-related diseases is to start establishing good habits early in life. Soon, The Cancer Project will begin its pilot cooking and nutrition program for youth starting with a Washington, D.C., charter school, Knowledge is Power Program (KIPP). KIPP is a network of free, open-enrollment, college-preparatory public schools throughout the United States, with a track record of preparing students in underserved communities for success in college and in life. The Cancer Project hopes that the knowledge shared with the nearly 40 ninth grade students at KIPP will help them make the best possible food choices to support their health and success in life. For more about The Cancer Project’s Youth program, contact [email protected].

Kyle Macy Hall Runs for The Cancer Project
The Cancer Project supporter and cancer survivor Kyle Macy Hall is running in the 114th Boston Marathon on April 19 to help raise money for The Cancer Project and cancer prevention so that others are able to overcome the disease as he did.
This is his second race where he will raise money for The Cancer Project. He raised almost $2,000 in his first race, the New York City Marathon, and has set a goal to raise $100 per mile in the Boston Marathon.
Kyle feels strongly that The Cancer Project is doing very important work by helping to stop cancer in its tracks through nutrition advice, research, and cooking classes. Learn how you can support Kyle and The Cancer Project >
