Lincoln has officially debuted its first ever hybrid vehicle, the MKZ Hybrid, at the New York Auto Show. The vehicle was showcased on the Ford stand and is being claimed to offer the best fuel efficiency of any luxury sedan in America. Interestingly, the vehicle is stated to reach speeds of 47 miles per hour running solely on electrical power.

Though details are scant, the vehicle is expected to deliver anything above 40mpg. When running on conventional fuel, the MKZ Hybrid will use a 2.5 liter Atkinson-cycle I-4 hybrid engine, which when combined with the electric powerplant will churn out 191 horsepower. The car will go in sale later this year.
