Most people associate being hypnotized with cheesy stage shows that leave a participant believing she’s a chicken. But did you know that hypnosis – or hypnotherapy – has applications for your health. From quitting smoking to losing weight and building healthier habits, hypnotherapist Carly Cummings, founder of “Hyp-Yoga” explains the power of hypnosis.

Hypnosis brings us to a place where we are so relaxed that we can use 100 percent of our brain to focus on a task at hand. Sometimes we are so preoccupied with all of our thoughts, our worries, and our “To Do” lists that we cannot concentrate. Our busy lives make it almost impossible for our minds to be completely effective. This is when hypnosis proves useful. We can accomplish so much more through hypnosis and with the full attention of our minds.
