Highlights include:
It’s rant time. During the past few weeks we’ve heard stronger and stronger rumors about RIM releasing a Pearl with a T9 keyboard. Why? I just can’t figure it out. RIM has created the world’s premier communications/messaging platform. Why do they think that people want a device that will make it harder to communicate? This is my final rant on the topic, but I think I cover all the bases in this one.
The BlackBerry 9800? It has a Storm-sized screen, which is nice in a way because it likely means another touch device. It is disappointing in another, though, because it will mean that over three generations of touch devices we won’t see improved resolution. Will it be the slider? Will it be a regular touch? That’s information we’re still waiting to hear.
Also of note, the BlackBerry Curve 9300 got outed this week. This will be good for GSM customers, who will finally get a Curve on 3G. For CDMA customers, though, I’m wondering what kind of upgrades this will provide over the 8530. The screen resolution remains the same, so what else can RIM put in a potential 9330 to add value?
