Eco Factor: Low-emission vehicles fueled by alternative power sources.
After unveiling the Geely IG as a concept at the 2009 Shanghai Auto Show, the company is back at Beijing with a new version, which isn’t fully electric as expected from the concept, but features new seagull doors and shifts from a 3+1 seating arrangement to a conventional 2+2, which is now powered by a hybrid drivetrain.
The company is also showcasing two all-electric models dubbed the EK-1 and the EK-2. The EK-1 is powered by lead acid batteries and can go up to 80kph with an operating range of about 80km. The EK-2 on the other hand is powered by lithium iron phosphate batteries which propel the vehicle to a top speed of 150kph with an operating range of about 180km. Geely also displayed the GSC (Geely Intelligent Stop-Go System) and the GPEC (Geely Plug-in Hybrid Vehicle).
