Eco Factor: Concept zero-emission vehicle powered by electricity.
Cherban has unveiled its concept three-wheeled EV that has a top speed of 150mph and can race to 60mph in just 3.5 seconds. Dubbed the Urban Jet, the zero-emission vehicle can carry two passengers and leans up to 45 degrees into corners.
The company claims that their vehicle will feature a body made from “bullet-proof” material and the vehicle’s safety cell would pass FIA rules for a Formula One chassis. Steering is via a handlebar and the Urban Jet’s dashboard features an 8-inch monitor with MP3, 3G and iPod connectivity.
The Urban Jet gets powered by a 26KWh polymer lithium battery, which is being claimed to be good for more than 1500 charging cycles. Full charge can be achieved in 150 minutes, after which the vehicle has an operating range of 220 miles.
