OEX Overland Truck concept unfurls its solar panels for a zero-emission expedition

Eco Factor: Hybrid overland truck harvests solar energy.

Designed by Hamid Raza Bekhradi, the OEX is a concept overland truck that promises a visually exciting expedition without compromising on emissions. The concept is designed for the year 2020, in collaboration with Fiat Professional Design Center and IVECO styling office, and focuses to enhance the passenger’s visibility with panoramic seats facing the sides of the road.

The truck also features a lateral extendible balcony with built-in binoculars that allow the passengers to view as well as shoot all around without any obstruction. The OEX is powered by a series-hybrid system that features electric motors assisted by a diesel generator. This extended range electric vehicle also features flexible solar panels that can be unfurled to recharge the batteries on the move.
