Eco Factor: Low-emission vehicle to be powered by a hybrid drivetrain.

Hyundai has revealed the first frontal image of the new concept that will be shown next week in Geneva. The i-Flow concept is a D-segment sedan that is meant to go up against the Ford Mondeo in Europe. The vehicle is the company’s first diesel/electric hybrid that boasts a new 1.7-liter inline-four engine.

The diesel engine has been paired with the company’s Blue-drive system using a new six-speed dual clutch gearbox. With a drag coefficient of 0.25, the vehicle is claimed to get 78.4mpg and CO2 emissions of just 85gm/km.

Along with the i-Flow the company will also be showcasing a new i30 and low emission versions of i10, i20, i30 and ix35. These low emission models will get automatic start-stop, low rolling resistance tires and several aerodynamic tweaks to better their efficiency.
