  • CIELab Color Sensor PR0094

The CIELab Color Sensor PR0094 is a color detection system for media in the visible spectrum of light and disposes of an internal light source.

31 Products from white to black can be tested independently from each other without changing the gain or any other parameter.

The sensor comes with 5 binary coded product outputs for releasing the detected color. Here the product that should be detected is constantly illuminated via a light source.

The parameterization and evaluation takes place in the CIELab color space. The sensor captures all 3 color channels in parallel. The cycle time for control via digital inputs is approx. 50ms.

The parallel capturing of all color channels as well as the specific measurement procedure lead to a high suppression of environmental effects.

The coupling of light is carried out via light guides. Here not only point-shaped areas but also larger areas can be controlled for matching of color. The module evaluates the area as sum signal.

  • New: Hako-Sherpa S Series

Electro transporters and electro tow tractors for tough everyday logistics

The new electro transporters and electro tow tractors of the Hako Sherpa S range have been especially designed for logistics tasks – even under heavy duty application conditions. Powerful drive motors with three phase current technology, a particularly robust chassis combined with a comfortable workplace offer all prerequisites for a long life and economical usage.

In the S Series there are currently two models available:
The Hako Sherpa S 8 is equipped as a transporter with a load area of 1,315 x 890 mm, suitable for a standard pallet with a useful load of up to 800 kg. In addition the Hako Sherpa S 8 can also still tow a trailer load of up to 2 t. With additional individual built-on attachments the electro transporter can be adapted for various application purposes and requirements.

The Hako Sherpa SX 60 serves for pure towing tasks with trailers; it can tow up to 6 t. Thee is also room for additional smaller loads on the 440 x 830 mm load area of the Hako Sherpa SX 60.
With an outer turning circle of only 2,085 mm the Hako Sherpa SX 60 is particularly manoeuvrable. For this machine Hako offers the corresponding axle-swivel steered standard trailers; in addition heavy load or special trailers can be manufactured at the customer’s request.

The suspension – on all three wheels in the case of the Hako Sherpa SX 60 or the front wheel for the Hako Sherpa S 8 respectively – ensures drive comfort and protects the driver and load, even on uneven surfaces.

The 5 kW powerful, low maintenance three phase current drive allows the Hako Sherpa S Series machines to accelerate to a maximum speed of up to 17 km/h; thus gradients of up to 20 % pose no problem.

An electric motor brake, which works free from wear and tear, brings the machines to a stop safely. In addition both models have a hydraulic working brake on all wheels (for the Hako Sherpa S 8 with front wheel brake as an option).

A large choice of seats, the steering column, which can be adjusted in 5 stages and the simple operation give the driver a high level of comfort even when the working day is long. If the machines are to be used in outdoor applications then an optional cover provides protection against the weather. Furthermore road licensing is possible for both machines.

  • Hakomatic B 1050 – the powerful scrubber-drier for large areas

With a working width of up to 118 cm and a maximum area performance of up to 7,800 m²/h the Hakomatic B 1050 is the new large area scrubber-drier from Hako for use in shopping centres, in multi-storey car parks or in logistics and industrial areas. At the CMS 2009 Hako presents the Hakomatic B 1050 – now also with cylindrical brush unit for thorough cleaning of rough and structured floors.

Thus there are now two versions available for intensive floor cleaning: firstly the Hakomatic B 1050 with plate brushes. Here two plate brushes ensure a high degree of effectiveness thanks to the direct drive via two electro motors (IP 54) protected against water spray. As the result of a movable suspension and a wide coverage the scrubbing brushes can be adapted well to uneven floors. In addition the side scrubbing unit, mounted on the right and available as an option, ensures cleanliness in edge areas. At the same time the working width increases from 102 cm to 118 cm.

What is new is the Hakomatic B 1050 with cylindrical brush unit: it is always the right solution when particularly rough or structured floors have to be cleaned. Not only does the cylindrical brush unit scrub the floor over a working width of 96 cm particularly intensively, but it also offers an integrated sweeping function. In doing so the dirt is collected in a separate dirt hopper. As an option the cylindrical brush unit can be extended by two additional side brushes. They enable the collection of coarse and fine dirt over the complete squeegee width = two operations become one!

Thanks to the electronic drive control of the gear motor on the steerable front wheel, the battery electric drive allows an infinitely adjustable drive speed between 0 and 8.2 km/h. The maximum drive speed can be programmed individually. In addition the powerful motor offers power reserves for gradients of up to 15 % – which means that the cleaning of e.g. multi-storey car parks is no problem. Furthermore the powerful battery enables a particularly long running time with only one battery charge.

With the conception of the Hakomatic B 1050 the developers always had the environment in mind: the emission-free drive enables clean work, the Hako Aqua Control System saves water and cleaning agent and recyclable materials and components have been used throughout the whole machine.

  • New wormgearbox line CM

With the new CM wormgearboxes, we have improved the technical characteristics of our previous range, improving therefore other wormgearboxes on the market. These gearboxes can be recognised immediately thanks to the new design and plastic cover assembled on every unit (which can easily be removed if necessary).

The letter ‘G’ can be found on the plastic cover and on the rear input side of the housing. This letter is part of our new logo “TRANSTECNO GENUINE PRODUCTS”, and relays the originality of our products from the drawing board to production.

Here you can find the main differences:

    A) New housing design is neater and more linear. This is an important aspect for the food industry where cleanliness is a priority.

    B) Breather plugs will no longer be used. Our experience gained over the years highlights the fact that in most cases they are not necessary. They will however be available on request.

    C) The gearing teeth data has been recalculated. This increases the transferred torque and gearing efficiency.

    D) Wider range of ratios. Ratio 1/100 is now available for size 30.

    E) Input oilseals in polyacrilic are used on sizes 26, 30, 40 and 50. They have a higher temperature range than the traditional NBR (up to 150°C) and guarantee less friction (useful in DC motor applications).

    F) Wider range of IEC flanges. 56B14 is now available for size 40 and 63B14 is available for size 50.

    G) Size 110 is now made in aluminium housing (previously in cast iron).

    H) The whole range will be supplied with a plastic cover which can be easily removed/assembled.

The newest addition is our bronze casting machine. This internal section allows us to completely control every step of the casting process (casting of the bronze wheel rim onto the cast iron output shaft).

The New CM range is completely interchangeable with the bevel helical gearboxes from the CMB range. Just recently introduced, they are already proving to be a success on the market due to their flexibility and technical qualities.

  • Former Cardinals star Ray Washburn returns to CBC

    Published Jan. 22, 2010
    By Keith Leventhal, KEPR TV

    play button

While our local hockey and basketball players are pretty good athletes, they’ve got a ways to go before they become professionals.

However, its probably safe to say that at least one or two of them will make it to that level.

Some of the Tri-Cities biggest success stories were back in town Thursday night for CBC’s 4th annual “Follow Your Dreams” banquet.

One of the school’s alums that made it big was former baseball star Ray Washburn.

After leaving CBC, he went on to a 10 year career in the major leagues.

He pitched for both St. Louis and Cincinnati…and he won a World Series ring and threw a no-hitter during his career.

But, even with all that success, he’s always been connected to CBC, including some surprising ties with the Hawks athletic director Scott Rogers and their baseball coach Steve Farrington.

Washburn says, “When I was coaching baseball at Bellevue, Scott was my 1st baseman, so, it kind of, we kind of come around, and I played, coached against Steve Farrington, he was at Lower Columbia at the time, so we always have a lot of head battles, so it was good to see Steve too.”

Washburn wasn’t the only baseball star at Thursday night’s event.

Pasco-native and Detroit Tigers pitcher Jeremy Bonderman was also in the crowd.

And all of those stars helped raise $25,000 for the CBC athletic department.
