I get 5 pens for $159 at the pharmacy. OR I get 1 vial of Novalog for $89 at the pharmacy. I don’t really know which is more cost effective. It looks like the 5 pens have a good bit more insulin than the vial has. Does anybody know for sure?

We’ve been critical of NBC but we’re big fans of the network and what it is capable of producing. We know there are a lot of smart people there and have had some great experiences talking with them and appreciate the access they have provided us in the past. We want them to be successful but we feel that in their efforts to please everybody, they are alienating everybody. We don’t buy the idea that the affiliates want Jay Leno back at 11:35pm and that Conan O’Brien is the problem. It was to be expected that there would be an initial dip in viewership when Conan took over “The Tonight Show” but this loss in viewers was compounded by Leno’s 10pm show which had viewer drop off both at the beginning and at the end of the hour.
Freeing up the 10pm hour for scripted TV is what everyone really wants: 5 more hours a week of content that has syndication and DVD value. What would be a shame is if Conan loses out because NBC couldn’t commit to him out of fear of losing Leno’s mid-West viewers. We’re not saying Leno doesn’t deserve to be on TV, he’s a solid performer that delivers to a powerful demographis, but doesn’t NBC Universal have about a jillion other channels he could go to and do a show he really wants to do? Give him that chance but let the Peacock finally graduate into the 21st century.

Ingredients:
1 large eggplant, about 1 1/4 lbs.
1 cup part skim milk ricotta cheese
1 tsp. dried oregano
8 large basil leaves, chopping 4 and leaving 4 whole
1/2 tsp. olive oil
2 cloves garlic, finely minced
4 ounces part skim milk mozzarella cheese, shredded
1 1/2 cups low carb tomato sauce (I used the Mario Batali Tomato Basil)
4 tsp. Parmesan cheese, grated
salt and pepper
olive oil spray
Preheat oven to 425′
Trim the stem end off of the eggplant and cut the skin off, about 1/8" deep, along two opposite sides. Cut the eggplant into 4 planks, each about 1/2" thick. Place eggplant on sheet pan and lightly coat with olive oil spray on both sides. Season to taste with salt and pepper if desired. Roast for about 25 minutes, carefully turning once with a spatula midway through cooking. Remove and set aside on pan.
Place the ricotta cheese in a bowl and add the oregano, 1 tablespoon of the chopped basil, olive oil and garlic. Season with salt and pepper if desired and blend well.
Divide the ricotta between the four slices of eggplant and spread evenly. Top each with 1 ounce of the shredded mozzarella cheese and place back in the oven for about 5 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted. When melted, remove from oven and top each with 1 whole basil leaf, divide the sauce between the four slices and sprinkle each with 1 teaspoon grated Parmesan cheese. Return to bake a additional 5 to 10 minutes. Garnish with shredded basil before serving.

2.Shenzhen
-No need to explain, Guangzhou can be the power house of Guangdong, Shenzhen can be a municipal
3.Kashgar
-Poor area and extreme West, so making it municipal can bring the Uighur there into an urban and a better life. But of course have to make the city area smaller, maybe around 5000Km². Change the name of the city using another Uighur name so Kashgar Prefecture can retain the "Kashgar" title.
I’m all for spreading the economic prosperity. xD

For years, we’ve heard of people freaking out about WiFi or mobile phones, claiming they have “electromagnetic sensitivity” to those things. The only problem is that in double-blind tests, there is no evidence that any sensitivity is due to electromagnetic waves. And yet, people keep insisting it must be true. In the latest extreme case, a guy in Santa Fe is suing his neighbor for not turning off his WiFi or mobile phone, saying that it caused him to become homeless:
Firstenberg “cannot stay in a hotel, because hotels and motels all employ wi-fi connections, which trigger a severe illness,” says the request for a preliminary injunction. “If (Firstenberg) cannot obtain preliminary relief, he will be forced to continue to sleep in his car, enduring winter cold and discomfort, until this case can be heard.”

When we approached the just-introduced Viliv P3, we were cautiously optimistic that we were looking at a phone. Needless to say, our hopes would go on to be mercilessly dashed, but in the wake of the carnage, we were still left with an intriguing PMP with a big AMOLED display and an 800MHz Cortex A8 processor. You could argue that the most compelling feature, though, is that it clocks in at just 9.8mm thick — a full 1.7mm thinner than the Nexus One while still managing 800 x 480 resolution. It felt a little creaky, but we were assured that the unit on hand was an early prototype — and honestly, we’d even be willing to take a little creakiness on a production model if you get this kind of thickness (or lack thereof) in return. It’s also got 720p TV-out, storage up to 32GB, optional T-DMB and DAB tuners, an exposed microSD slot on the bottom, and — check this out — Windows CE dual-boot capability, although the unit here only had Android installed. Stuff an HSPA radio in there and call it good, guys. Follow the break for a quick video of the P3 in action.
