Apparently Levermir hasn’t been tested enough yet in pregnant women to know if its safe for baby, so I’ve been switched back to Protophane (NPH)… so far I’m on day 2, and I hate it. I was having major lows, but now I’m just all over the place. In one hour today, I went from 4.0 (72) to 27.3 (491). The slightest touch of novorapid, and I hypo, but without it, I stay high.
Does anyone have any suggestions, apart from testing hourly? (which, btw, I’m already doing!). We want our baby to arrive safe and sound!!
Oh also… PLEASE don’t post anything about this on facebook, to those of u on my friend list… a lot of our family and friends don’t know yet!!

A new year — a new F-bomb from Kathy Griffin.
The notoriously potty-mouthed redhead let the four-letter word loose as she co-hosted CNN’s live New Year’s Eve Special with Anderson Cooper, slipping the F-word into a discussion about “balloon boy” Falcon Heene as she fumbled his first name.
If you prefer other coverage NBC, Fox, CNN and Fox News will be among the others covering the New Yearâs Eve. Fox will present âBillboardâs New Yearâs Liveâ hosted by Carmen Electra from 11pm to 12:30 pm. Bill Hemmer and Megyn Kelly of Fox News will host the âAll American New Yearâ also starting at 11 on Fox News channel. NBC will have âNew Yearâs Eve with Carson Dalyâ froem 10:00 to 11:00 PM EST and then from 11:30 pm on. And finally, CNN will have âNew Yearâs Eve Liveâ hosted by Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin, also beginning at 11PM EST.
The third part will feature the Black Eyed Peasâ band member and singer Fergie hosting a Las Vegas edition of the New Yearâs Eve. So this will make for one exciting bi-coastal coverage of our transition from 2009 into 2010!

Looks like AT&T is about to get a version of the LG Arena — these shots of a GT950 with the carrier’s branding just hit the tubes. The phone hasn’t been officially announced by either AT&T or LG, but the safe bet is that the 950 is just a bespoke variant of the familiar Arena KM900, so look for a three-inch 800 x 480 touchscreen with LG’s S-Class UI, a five megapixel camera, GPS, Wi-Fi, and 8GB of storage. We’ll have to see whether this hits at CES next week or MWC in February — but until then you can get a feel for this thing by checking out our KM900 hands-on video right here.

Examiner: Does the International Panel on Climate Change [IPCC] have it all wrong?
Singer: The Panel was established by members of the United Nations with an assortment of political objectives in mind. Hundreds of scientists are doing commendable research and they have contributed to many of the Working Group reports, but they don’t participate in writing the final “Summary for Policymakers” that gets all the attention of media and national leaders. The IPCC procedure actually requires the Working Group reports to conform with the political conclusions of the Summary, written and negotiated by a group of U.N. politicians.
No doubt, there are some scientists who want to collect large government grants for studying climate. The recent release of emails from the East Anglia University’s Climate Research Unit suggests that some of them want to provide their employers with an unjustified political consensus that serves their purposes.
Thousands of competent scientists who have scrutinized the IPCC reports agree that many of the conclusions are unsupported by the scientific evidence. Many IPCC reviewers have publicly rejected the Summary’s conclusions. In my opinion, every good scientist is a skeptic. Humans don’t dictate facts to nature. As our knowledge of global climate improves, we may discover that all of the popular assumptions are wrong.

He was declared a fugitive by the law, and the judges ruled that Luster would go on trial even in his absence.
On January 22, after 2 days of speculation and deliberation on the case, without Lusterâs presence, the jury found him guilty of 86 of the 87 charges he had been indicted with. His conviction fetched him a total of 124 years in the prison. He was caught in Mexico by Doug âDogâ Chapman.
The truth about Luster came to light when he had used the GHB (date rape drug) on one of his unsuspecting victims called Carrie and admitted to her about giving her the drug. Detectives caught him using Carrie as a bait and discovered his other victims from the tapes found in his beach house.

In contradiction to perceived wisdom, the airborne fraction of carbon dioxide hasn’t increased during the last five decades, or, indeed, for the last 150 years, claims new research
The findings suggest that estimates of mankind’s impact on the environment are more than 80 percent higher than they should be.
To assess whether atmospheric CO2 levels are increasing, Wolfgang Knorr of the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Bristol has re-analyzed available atmospheric carbon dioxide and emissions data since 1850, reports Science Daily.
Says Knorr: “Several recent studies have highlighted the possibility that the oceans and terrestrial ecosystems have started loosing part of their ability to sequester a large proportion of the anthropogenic CO2 emissions. This is an important claim, because so far only about 40 percent of those emissions have stayed in the atmosphere, which has prevented additional climate change.

The continuing battle between climate realists and alarmists in 2009 will be most remembered for the leaked UEA CRU âClimategateâ emails, which provided an insight into the climate science âgate-keepingâ perpetrated by around 20 to 30 dominant, influential IPCC activist scientists. The unmasking of the âconsensusâ where uncertainty is presented as certainty undoubtedly helped increase public scepticism about the computer modelled scare of a future CO2 driven climate catastrophe, which can supposedly be averted via more taxation and restrictions enforced by a global carbon dictatorship.
Fortunately, the Copenhagen orgy of climate alarmism, vested financial interests, environmental extremism, rich celebrity hypocrites, and politicians out of touch with reality and voters, failed to produce a meaningful agreement or legally binding treaty. Common sense would suggest that this marks the end of climate policy lacking a sound scientific basis and political feasibility. However, the global warming industry gravy train has so many passengers that the climate summit circus canât afford to be diverted by reality. Meanwhile, the alarmist mainstream media, such as the BBC, continued to bombard the public with predictions of climate doom, which intensified in the run up to the Copenhagen Summit.

The new 2010 Volvo S60 is featured in a new YouTube video where we get a closer look at what is a very attractive design for the new sedan. The official S60 presentation will take place at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show in March, with production starting early this coming summer.
A statement from Volvo reads: “We will ensure that this is the first car video on YouTube in 2010. It will be released on Volvo Car’s channel on YouTube a few seconds after we have entered the new year,” says Senior Vice President, Public Affairs, Olle Axelson.

We’ve long said that wireless video streaming direct from a laptop is one of our dream gadgets, and while most of the gear we’ve seen is based on Wireless USB, it looks like Netgear’s trying something a little different: this PTV1000 Push 2 TV Adapter just hit the FCC database, and it looks to send video from your laptop to your TV over WiFi. It’s apparently built on an upcoming Intel standard called Wireless Display that requires a Core i3, i5, or i7 processor with integrated GMA graphics and Windows 7, but nothing’s been officially announced yet — and what little info we have isn’t great, as the docs warn users that Wireless Display is unsecured and won’t play all DVDs or Blu-rays. That’s not a huge problem, we suppose — all we want to do is beam a Hulu window to our TV simply and easily. We’re assuming we’ll find out a lot more at CES next week, stay tuned.
