  • AIR SHOWERS

The air shower is used to remove the contaminating agents from the staff’s clothes when they come in controlled contamination environments where harmful powders are treated and they do not have to be diffused in the external environment.

    Operating principle
It is based on the mechanical action exercised on the particles settled on the staff’s clothes by “airblast” blown out at high speed by adjustable diffusers nozzles and uniformly distributed on the internal walls of the “shower”.
The air is conveniently pushed by a dimensioned centrifugal fan in terms of the volumetry of the shower and filtered in absolute filters at high capacity (H14). The cleaness effect obtained varies in terms of time of exposure of the staff to the airblasts

    Applications
Pharmaceutical, electronic, food, aerospace sector, biological and forensic laboratories.

Construction in stainless steel AISI304 or galvanized sheet iron varnished before.
Internal dimensions standard model mm 1000x1400x2100 (capacity of 2 people)
Glass doors all height provided with spring device to automatically close a door.
Opening direction as per client’s specifications.
    Adjustable blowing out nozzles
Stream management of the staff fulfilled with locking system for doors and traffic lights.
Automatic unlocking system for doors in case of black – out.
Manual button to unblock emergency doors
    Internal lighting
Display with alphanumerics to formulate the access codes and times of “washing”

  • Vibrating Cup Mill – extremely fast grinding!

    Especially user-friendly – intelligent – safe – clever!

The FRITSCH Vibrating Cup Mill PULVERISETTE 9 is indispensable for all areas in which hard, brittle and fibrous materials must be ground extremely quick down to analytical fineness. As the world‘s first mill of its kind, it has a frequency transformer control developed by FRITSCH. Your advantage: Perfect, loss-free grinding results in half the time!

Ideal for fast sample preparation, such as in the areas of spectroscopy preparation, ore and geology laboratories, mining and metallurgy, ceramics industry, agriculture and environmental science, infrared and x-ray fluorescence analysis.

    Especially user-friendly!
No similar mill offers a more convenient operation: The working position is ergonomically optimised, the ease of cleaning is without match, the grinding set is placed on a practical carriage, allowing it to be easily moved to the final position and rapidly fastened in seconds with a quick clamping system – which is back-friendly and saves energy and time.

    Especially intelligent!
A special detector automatically detects when you use an agate or zirconium oxide grinding set for metal-free grinding and reduces the rotational speed independently.

    Especially safe!
A symmetrical eccentric developed by FRITSCH ensures fast and safe clamping of the grinding set, which is also automatically monitored. The defined final position and an integrated anti-twist protection provide additional safety.

Especially clever: the FRITSCH-motor with frequency transformer control!
In the Vibrating Cup Mill, the grinding is performed by horizontal circular oscillations of the grinding set on a vibrating plate. The grinding set consisting of rings and puck comminute the grinding sample with extremely high pressure, impact forces and friction. In this form of grinding, the transmission of forces onto the grinding sample is much more important than the pure motor power. For this reason, FRITSCH developed a special motor with frequency transformer control for the PULVERISETTE 9 as the first provider worldwide. This makes it possible to adapt the motor speed to the respective load on the vibrating plate, ensuring optimal comminution. Alternatively, fixed speeds can also be selected. Naturally, the grinding parameters can also be configured for absolute reproducibility.

  • Humidifying Bugs at ZSL London Zoo

JS Humidifiers has supplied and installed three Neptronic SKE resistive steam humidifiers at the BUGS exhibit and Invertebrate Conservation Centre of ZSL London Zoo. The humidifiers are helping maintain high humidities around exhibits such as Giant Fregate beetles, Partula snails and colonies of Leaf cutter ants.

The humidifiers have fan units fitted to the top that disperse steam directly into the room. One of the steam generators is located in the Cool Humid room where it maintains a constantly humid and comfortable atmosphere for stick insects, leaf insects and leaf-cutting ants. Another is located in the Fregate Island Room, which contains rare species only found on Fregate Island in the Seychelles, including Palm Beetles and Fregate Island Enid Snails, both endangered species. The room is kept at a sweltering 28oC and 70-80%rH due to the requirements of the animals.

The third humidifier will be fitted in a display breeding room for sensitive Polynesian Tree snails, most of which are extinct in the wild.

Dave Clarke, Team Leader at London Zoo’s Bugs Exhibit, comments, “We selected the Neptronic SKE as we wanted an industrial unit that could withstand the type of intensive use we put them through, and required steam humidification to provide totally hygienic conditions for the staff working in the area. Since the humidifiers have been in they’ve been performing really well and have required minimal maintenance.”

Unlike electrode boiler humidifiers, which need replacement boiling cylinders when they become full of limescale, the Neptronic SKE has a cleanable boiling chamber. The heating elements are made from scale-resistive Incoloy 825 super alloy, which when heated causes any limescale that does build up to crack from the surface in small manageable pieces. These are then mostly washed to drain during normal operation.

When combined with RO water, the scale that builds up inside the humidifier is dramatically reduced. As very few minerals are in the RO water entering the boiling chamber, very little limescale is left over when it is turned to steam. The Neptronic humidifiers at ZSL London Zoo are fed using on-site RO water but stand alone RO water filters are also available from JS, especially designed for reducing maintenance and improving performance of humidifiers.

  • Pneumatic Revolver as Rotating Indexing Unit

What is already well known from EXPERT-TÜNKERS now comes new from TÜNKERS – the rotating indexing units. However the TÜNKERS units are smaller and operated with pneumatic drives.

The pneumatic rotating indexing units are suited for swivelling in contour blocks, centring pins, or with respect to the large-sized type series RT 40 for rotary indexing of smaller fixture groups. The control is similar to a conventional pneumatic cylinder, whereby the respective end positions are mechanically locked.

We are enclosing documents containing a description of the technical details and the technical data sheets RT 4 and RT 40 in form of a summary.

  • OneProd System 3.2, A doubly improved system

Faster and more powerful: the new version of OneProd System, the condition monitoring platform by 01dB-Metravib, shows yet more inventiveness and performance with a greater focus on users’ requirements.

    First major asset: the ShockFinder
This innovative indicator allows for the automatic detection of abnormal shocks, even on machines with very slow rotation speeds. This capability for automatic and reliable monitoring of slow shafts proves very useful considering the limitations of classic techniques. Specifically in the wind power sector, where classic vibration monitoring requires long analyses that do not really yield relevant results.

Second major asset: shorter reaction time
While OneProd System 3.2 is well suited for slow rotation speeds, it is gifted with very fast reaction! Indeed, the system now reacts faster in case of a very sudden defect. First because the system performs more measurements, and then because users can increase the volume of indicators for finer monitoring, without hindering the system’s reactivity.

With version 3.2, OneProd System achieves a genuine tour de force by saving analyst time while increasing the reliability of monitoring.
Attractive enough for many domains of activity, such as wind power, radars, paper mills (press rolls), steel industry (rolling mills), chemistry, cement plants…

  • Clamping device Ratio-Clamp® – hydraulic clamping units from Hänchen

  • Ocean Optics XR-Series Spectrometers Cover ~200-1050 nm Wavelengths

Miniature spectroscopy pioneer Ocean Optics (www.OceanOptics.eu) has expanded the wavelength capabilities of several of its popular miniature fibre optic spectrometers. The XR-Series, available for the USB2000+, JAZ-EL2000, and USB4000, covers all wavelengths from ~200-1050 nm with the convenience and affordability of a single, monolithic spectrometer.

The new XR-1 grating option developed by Ocean Optics overcomes the traditional challenges of providing broad UV-NIR coverage in a single miniature spectrometer. With a 500 lines/mm density, the grating delivers high performance at a budget-friendly price, without increasing the system footprint. The XR-1 grating is available pre-configured in the USB2000+, JAZ-EL2000, and USB4000 and may also be added as an option to custom-built systems.

The XR-Series spectrometers deliver an optical resolution of ~2.0 nm (FWHM). Ocean Optics’ proprietary order-sorting filter is applied directly to the detector to eliminate second- and third-order effects. The 25 µm slit on the preconfigured units delivers good optical resolution for most applications. XR-Series spectrometers are a convenient single-instrument solution for setups where both UV-VIS and VIS-NIR measurements are needed, and are well suited to measurement of samples with response across the entire wavelength range, such as solar irradiance, atomic emission line measurement and some plasma applications.

  • Narrow band multi-channel transceiver conforms to EN300113 and FCC Part 90

Circuit Design, Inc. the leading supplier of narrowband radio modules has developed and released the data transceiver LMD-400-R, designed for use under the European Land Mobile Service specification EN 300-113 and Private Land Mobile Services FCC Part 90 in the U.S. market. The LMD-400-R is the same size and pin-compatible with Circuit Design’s EN 300220 compliant license-exempt transceiver model STD-302N-R that has been widely used in Europe as a standard transceiver for remote control in industrial radio applications.

LMD-400-R is a synthesized transceiver with 10 mW RF power, 4800 bps data rate and GFSK modulation. It is designed for use in the license bands in Europe and the U.S.A. that require the high receiver performance and narrow band transmission shown below.

The European Land Mobile Service Specification for data radio defined in EN 300113 requires high resistance against interference typically represented by the parameters shown below. LMD-400-R fulfills those specifications.

    – Adjacent channel selectivity: Limit = e 60 dB @ 12,5 kHz (Receiver)
    – Intermodulation response rejection: Limit for mobile & portable equipment = e 65 dB (Receiver)
    – Blocking: Limit = e 84 dB (Receiver)
    – Spurious response rejection: Limit= e70dB (Receiver)
    – Adjacent channel power: Limit = -60 dB or <-36 dBm (Transmitter) Unlike typical low-cost wide band radios under Part 15, Part 90 licensed band radio must be narrow band radio with 6.5 kHz, 12.5 kHz or 25 kHz channel spacing. Frequency stability must be 2.5 ppm for the 12.5 kHz channel spacing system. This is a stringent requirement for a small-sized OEM SRD transceiver module. The LMD-400-R fulfills these requirements for frequency stability in a 12.5 kHz channel spacing system. High-power, highly functional, large and expensive Voice/Data PLMR products (end products) with wide tuning bandwidth are very common in the European and North American Land Mobile Service radio market. In contrast, the LMD-400-R is a simple, very compact, low-power and comparatively low-priced OEM transceiver module for integration in user systems. European users of Circuit Design's EN300220 compliant transceiver STD-302N-R have eagerly awaited the release of the LMD-400-R. They plan to expand their business into the U.S. market and European licensed band market with LMD-400-R.
