  • 1964 Shelby Cobra Up for Auction

    Car collectors need to prepare their check books, as a1964 Shelby Cobra factory race car will be up for auction by RM Auctions at Amelia Island on March 3. The car is quite impressive, as it is one of only 42 race cars powered by a 289 cu. engine and one of the six cutback doors factory team cars.

  • Lamborghini Celebrates 4,000 Murcielagos

  • BMW Shows M3 Performance Package

    If you’re one of the people who thought that the BMW M3 wasn’t quite sporty enough well, you’re insane. And apparently so are the people working at Bayerische Motoren Werke AG, as the group just released its first photos and details of the 2011 BMW M3 Performance Package which appeared as a rumor back in January.   • CRP to Promote 2010 TTXGP Italian Championship

    CRP Racing recently reached an agreement with TTXGP, the rights holders and founders of the eGrandPrix international world series, which made it the official promoter of the 2010 TTXGP Italian Championship. CRP will join the Italian Motorcycle Federation (FMI) to promote the clean emission, zero carbon championship for Italy.

  • Dead End for American Chopper Series

  • Audi to Use “e-tron” Badging for Its Electric Cars

    All future electric Audis will receive the e-tron badging, just like the 4 wheel drive models from the German manufacturer are all called quattro and its diesel engines (in fact all of the Volkswagen Group’s diesel engines) bare the "TDI" nameplate, as autoweek writes.

  • Yamaha to Move ATV Production to the US by 2013

    Japanese manufacturer Yamaha announced today it plans to transfer its all-terrain vehicle (ATV) production from Japan to the United States.  With this transfer, the production capacity of YMC’s Japanese subsidiary will be integrated into YMC’s U.S. subsidiary (YMMC) based in Newnan, Georgia.

    Though it is still in planning stages, the move is scheduled to begin in early 2011 and is intended to optimize manufacturing capacity and improve productivity.

    Lexus has released a teaser image of the upcoming Lexus CT 200h, which will have its world premiere at the Geneva Auto Show, next month.

  • Allison Signs Agreement with Engine Supplier

    Developing electric and hybrid vehicles became a priority for most automakers and, apparently, transmission builders.   • Raikkonen, Gronholm Experience Trouble in Rally Sweden – SS6

    The 6th special stage of the Rally Sweden this weekend was not a lucky one for Finnish drivers Marcus Gronholm and Kimi Raikkonen.
