  • National Motoring Event in Echuca-Moama, Australia

    We have good news for the Aussies: an event for all motoring enthusiasts will be held in the Murray River border town of Echuca-Moama, Australia.   • Michelin Profit Down 71% in 2009

    Michelin, the world’s second largest tiremaker, announced that its profit decreased by 71 percent in 2009 as a result of falling sales and increasing reorganization costs.

    The company’s net income dropped to 106 million euro form the 360 million figure posted in 2008. Revenues decrease by 9.8 percent, only reaching 14.8 billion.

    Last year, Michelin reduced its global workforce by 7.1 percent to 109,200 employees.

  • Proton Presents Concept Car Designed by Giugiaro

    Malaysian car manufacturer Proton and Giugiaro created a concept car meant to introduce a family of low environmental impact models.   • Lorenzo Injures Hand, Misses Sepang Test

    Racing is dangerous and exposes the rider to the risk of injury, and Jorge Lorenzo find that out on his own again yesterday. The 22-year-old Spaniard fractured his right hand in an accident while training in Barcelona and was immediately taken to hospital for treatment.

    Lorenzo underwent surgery to fix the problem and had a titanium plate fitted in his hand to do so. Today, the Fiat Yamaha Team rider left the hospital in the morning and returned to his home in Barcelona to recuperate.
