    First unveiled in August 2009, Nissan’s medium-size electric hatchback is one of the highlights in the Japanese carmaker’s booth these days in Geneva. The vehicle is powered by laminated compact lithium-ion batteries that manage to develop 90 kW, while its electric motors produce 80 kW/280 Nm of torque, enough for a maximum speed of more than 140 km/h (90 mph).

  • 2010 Geneva Auto Show: Mercedes-Benz E-Klasse

    Under the four seasons, four passengers motto, Mercedes-Benz presented its latest addition to the range: the E-Klasse Cabriolet. The open-top model has two doors and features a classic soft top fabric. The soft top can be opened and closed fully automatically within 20 seconds – even when driving at speeds of up to 40 km/h.

  • Bentley Mulsanne Full Details Released

    British luxury carmaker Bentley decided, on the opening day of the 2010 Geneva Auto Show, to release the complete details of its newest model, or the "pinnacle of British motoring," as Bentley calls it.

    As already revealed, the Mulsanne packs a reengineered twin-turbocharged 6¾l V8 engine, developing 512PS (505bhp) at 4,200 rpm, with torque levels reaching a staggering 1,020 Nm. The unit allows the Mulsanne to reach 60 mph in 5.1 secnds (0-100 km/h in 5.3s).

  • 2010 Geneva Auto Show: Mazda6 Facelift

    Another world premiere coming from Mazda at this year’s Geneva Auto Show, alongside the new generation Mazda5, is the refreshed Mazda6 family. The sedan, hatchback and wagon in the range have updated exterior and interior styling features, as well as revised powertrains.

    Renault is extending its exclusive toff sports Gordini range with the introduction of the Clio Gordini RS at the Geneva Auto Show.

    Asked to share his thoughts on the upcoming Formula One campaign, the very supremo of the series Bernie Ecclestone admitted that the 2010 season will finally give Jenson Button the chance to prove himself against teammate and countryman Lewis Hamilton.

  • Teams Rule Out Favorite Status ahead of Bahrain GP

    After 15 days of testing this winter, all the major players in the 2010 Formula One championship point at each other for the favorite role prior to the start of the season.   • 2010 Geneva Auto Show: Audi A1 e-tron

    After yesterday German carmaker Audi announced it will present an e-tron version of the A1 at the Geneva Auto Show, full details of the model expected to form the back bone of the company’s e-tron sub-brand were released today.

    Forming a class of its own, Mega City Vehicle, the new A1 is a four passenger compact electric car in the premium class. It was built to be used in city environments in Europe and North America, as well as in metropolitan areas in Asia and South America.

  • Opel/Vauxhall Gets 1.9 Billion Euro from GM

    Under its viability plan, Opel/Vauxhall estimated that it needs 3.3 billion Euro. Though at first General Motors said it will only contribute with 600 million Euro, the Geneva Auto Show brings us some good news: GM will contribute with a substantial 1.9 billion Euro funding package.

    The 2010 Geneva Auto Show witnessed the introduction of Dacia’s first-ever SUV, the Duster, a compact off-roader that will go on sale in select European countries this month.   • Putin Confirms Government Backing for Vitaly Petrov

    Russian driver Vitaly Petrov has practically confirmed his place in the Renault F1 Team this season. We know his deal with the team has been inked for some time now, but the former GP2 runner-up was supposed to pour some money into the team’s accounts in order to retain his seat.
