    Polish driver Robert Kubica revealed that Renault will come to Barcelona this week with a new set of upgrades, aimed at closing the gap to the championship big guns.   • Infiniti M Sedan European Details Released Ahead of Geneva Debut

    Infiniti will introduce at the Geneva Motor Show next week the M sedan for the European market, a new range that will include petrol and diesel units, as well as a hybrid powertrain soon.

    The M37 will employ a 3.7-liter VVEL V6 petrol engine that produces a maximum power of 316 hp and 360 Nm of torque. The M30d on the other hand uses a 3.0-liter V6 unit that generates 235 hp and 550 Nm of torque.   • Hyundai Sonata Sales Halted and 1,300 Cars Recalled

    The 2011 Hyundai Sonata has already made many people consider it as an option even before reaching showroom floors. Unfortunately, it seems that it has tripped a bit while making its first steps: Hyundai was forced to pause Sonata sales due to a potential fault in the front-door latches that could affect 5,000 units, as autoblog reports.

  • Drew Blickensderfer Reunited with Carl Edwards

    Following the appointment of Mike Kelley, Carl Edwards’ crew chief for the No. 60 car, as competition director for Roush Fenway’s Nationwide Series endeavors, Drew Blickendersfer, will become Edwards’ new coordinator.

    Blickendersfer was replaced no later than last week as crew chief for Matt Kenseth by Todd Parrott and at the time Roush announced Blickendersfer will get involved with the team’s research and development efforts.

    Just like last season, Force India decided to do a little reorganizing before the new Formula One campaign.   • SEAT Delivers 500 Leon Ecomotive to British Gas

    SEAT has just confirmed the delivery of 500 Leon Ecomotive units to British utility company Centrica, one of the largest supplier of gas to domestic customers in the UK and one of the top electricity suppliers. Operating under the trading name of British Gas, the company represents the largest buyer of ecological cars for SEAT, the Spanish company said in a press statement.

  • Reuss: Cruze Will Lead the Way for Chevy in Small-Displacement

    General Motors yesterday announced that it will introduce a third shift at the Lordstown facility, a move supposed to help the US-based manufacturer keep up with growing demand for the Chevrolet Cruze. The third shift, which will add 1,200 jobs at the plant, is expected to generate $47 million in additional payroll, $470,000 in local income taxes and $1.4 million in state income tax, Mark Reuss, President of GM North America, said in a statement.

  • Confirmed: GM Adds 1,200 Jobs to Lordstown Complex

    Just as we told you yesterday, GM planned to add a third shift at the Lordstown Complex to boost Chevrolet Cruze production, a model that posted unexpected sales figures in the United States.
