    Following last week’s introduction of the new CrossPolo, German carmaker Volkswagen released today details on CrossPolo’s bigger brother, the CrossGolf or, as VW likes to call it, the missing link between MPV and SUV.

  • Red Bull Uses Filming Session for Testing at Barcelona

    Red Bull Racing got one day of testing back this off-season, after missing out on the opening test of Valencia earlier this month. With the RB6 being launched after the test at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit, Red Bull practically threw away the first 3 days of testing prior to the opening round of the 2010 F1 season (meaning 20 percent of the entire test days this winter).

  • Ford Figo Full Details and Photos Released

    Although the Ford Figo has been revealed for quite some time, the Indian built car has not been completely detailed by the manufacturer until yesterday, when the local website of the American manufacturer opened the flood doors and unleashed the vehicle which will certainly become a hit.

  • Hyundai i30 Facelift at Geneva

    Hyundai will use the upcoming 2010 Geneva Motor Show to introduce the i30 facelift, globally known as i30U, a model that is projected to enter mass production in March, with sales to begin soon after. The South Korean manufacturer hasn’t mentioned the improvements to be seen on the facelifted i30, but it did mention that it will feature several enhancements "in design, specification and competitiveness, as well as even cleaner powertrains".

  • No GP2 Tires for Stefan GP Test

    Stefan Grand Prix have been left on the sidelines before their initially scheduled test at Portimao, because they do not hold a valid racing license from the International Automobile Federation (FIA) for the 2010 season.

  • Lotus Evora 414E Hybrid Full Details Released

    The 2010 Geneva Auto Show has just got even more exciting after yesterday British carmaker Lotus announced it will display at the event "a high-performance technology demonstrator" dubbed Evora 414E hybrid. In other words, the Lotus hybrid is here.

    The Evora 414E Hybrid is powered by two electric motors driving each of the rear wheels independently via a single speed geartrain, helped by a three-cylinder 1.2l engine. The electricity is stored in a lithium polymer battery pack.

  • GM Scraps HUMMER Sale, Kills the Brand

    After months of negotiations and denial that HUMMER might be killed if the deal with Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machines Co. fails to go through, General Motors today confirmed that it will actually wind down the business as no agreement between the involved parties has been reached.

  • Nissan Shows Positive January Financial Results

    Nissan Motor Co has been very successful in January, as the automotive producer has posted impressive sales and production figures for the month.

    The carmaker’s global production saw a 96.8 percent year-on-year increase last month, reaching 285,986 units. Production in Japan grew by 83.1 percent to 86,938 units. This was driven by the increased output of the new Fuga, Serena and export models.

    German carmaker Opel announced today the starting price for the second generation Movano, prior to the van’s market release scheduled for April. The Movano, equipped with various panel van versions will start at 24,990 euros in Germany, excluding VAT.

    We already told you that Abarth will bring its very own version of Punto Evo at the Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland but we’ve just find out that the brand will also display an upgraded 500C.
