  • Ali Is “The Bachelorette”

ABC has revealed the next lady who will be looking for love as The Bachelorette: Ali Fedotowsky was confirmed as the new Bachelorette during The Bachelor: After The Final Rose on Monday night.

As fans may recall, Ali — a frontrunner in the pursuit of Bachelor Jake Pavelka — had to leave the show in order to keep her job. Ali faced a tough decision on the show: stay in The Bachelor House and compete for Jake’s heart and risk losing her job, or leave and lose a man she’d fallen in love with. She chose her career.

“I’m so excited. I’m so thrilled and honored and grateful. I just can’t believe it,” Ali — who’s blonde looks often earn her comparisons to a young Belinda Carlisle — told host Chris Harrison on last night After The Rose Special. “I’m not gonna let my fear dictate my life anymore. And I just need to go for it and I want to find someone,” she continued. “I want to be in love. I want to get married and have kids and all of that and this is my chance, so I’m not gonna make the same mistake I made last time, I’m going for it.”

    The show returns May 24.

  • Vienna Girardi Wins “The Bachelor” Finale & Accepts Final Rose From Jake Pavelka

“I don’t want you to ever forget this. Vienna, I love you … Vienna, will you marry me?”

Talk about betting on The Underdog: Jake Pavelka chose bad girl marketing rep Vienna Girardi to be his bride on Monday night’s season finale of The Bachelor: On The Wings Of Love.

After kicking off the season with 25 women, Pavelka narrowed the playing field down to two: controversial firecracker Vienna and bubbly sweetheart Tenley Molzahn. Although he claimed to be in love with both woman, the 32-year-old airline pilot from Dallas, TX chose Girardi over fan fave Tenley on the explosive season’s four-hour finale event.

Before tonight’s season ender, Jake told PEOPLE that he was pleased with his decision and hoped the public supported his choice: “I just hope that everybody understands the decision I made because I’m the one who has to live with it. The show will keep going, another season will get under way and the public will move on to being obsessed with another person’s budding romance, but my life will keep going so I tried to make the best decision I could, the one that I could live with. I still feel like I made the right decision now a few months later. I’m happy because of that.”

On the car ride home, a jilted Tenley tearfully insisted that Jake had chosen the wrong woman.

“My heart feels broken right now. Hurts pretty bad,” she weeped, wiping away tears. “I want a man who can love me for every piece of me and who just lights up my life and I light up his. And I see Jake. Jake will see the mistake he made and I feel bad for him. I think he’s gonna see it, I think. I don’t think he knows what he wants….”

According to The Associated Press, the success rate of The Bachelor has been relatively poor. Only four of the 13 other couples are still together.

Pavelka will compete on the forthcoming 10th season of ABC’s Dancing With The Stars, premiering March 22.

  • TLC Dumps Miss America Pageant

The Learning Channel has left Miss America homeless.

TLC has opted not to renew its television rights to the decades-old beauty pageant, effectively dumping the show in a statement to The Associated Press on Monday.

“We are happy that TLC was part of the modernization and revitalization of the Miss America pageant. This year we delivered record ratings, besting any of it’s prior performances on cable. However, our three year deal has concluded and we have chosen not to renew. We wish the Miss America Organization well.”

According to Reuters: Miss America aired on NBC from 1966-96, then switched to ABC. When ABC declined to renew the pageant in 2006, organizers shopped the show to cable networks. CMT picked it up for two years, then dropped it. TLC signed a three-year agreement with pageant organizers in 2008.

TLC declined to say why it is cutting ties with the pageant — which has waned in popularity in recent years, but attracted a record 4.5 million viewers in January.

“I’M NOT DOING DANCING WITH THE STARS/ flattered to be asked (i guess)i’m not a dancer….” Stamos wrote.

This isn’t the first time Stamos has distanced himself from the career graveyard known as reality TV. In an October 2009 interview with The Advocate, John slammed Dancing with the Stars, branding the popular series an aging hasbeen’s final pit stop on the Road To Obscurity.

  • Jasmina Anema’s Mom Still Waiting For A Call From Rihanna

The mother of Jasmina Anema, the 6-year-old New York girl who died of leukemia in January, has backtracked from a Twitter post questioning Rihanna’s motives in rallying behind her daughter’s cause – but the grief-stricken mom admits that she expected a phone call from the “Rude Boy” crooner after her daughter passed away.

“It has been a month since Jasmina’s passing. Still not even a card or text message from Rihanna. Did she use my child for a publicity stunt?” the tweet in question, posted to the official ONEFORJASMINA account this weekend, read. The note has since been deleted, but not before it was retweeted hundreds of times.

Rihanna — along with Kelly Rowland, Lil Mama, and even The First Family– were instrumental in a worldwide initiative to find a bone marrow donor for the precocious Manhattanite. But Thea Anema felt abandoned by her celebrity pals after Jasmina lost her cancer battle earlier this year.

In an e-mail to PEOPLE.com Monday, Anema denied writing the message herself, but said she is disappointed not to have heard from Rihanna, 22, since Jasmina passed away on Jan. 27.

“Friends have helped me with all kinds of stuff and many know the passwords to my personal e-mail, the Caringbridge site and also Twitter,” Anema wrote. “Although I did not Tweet this particular one, I do wish that Rihanna had responded to me on Jasmina’s passing. It would have meant the world to me. Jasmina adored her,” she writes. “Rihanna was so kind to come and visit her. I just felt hurt not hearing anything from her. Or of any other celebrities for that matter. The only ones who reached out to me personally during this time of grief were the Obamas.”

In Rihanna’s defense, pals say the pop star was devastated by Jasmina’s death, and hasn’t been able to bring herself to call the child’s parents. Days after Jasmina’s passing, Rihanna remembered her fondly in a statement issued by her publicist: “She was a very free, fun spirited little girl, full of energy, always happy, always energetic. I always remember she wouldn’t sit still. She was always running around, always had a smile on her face.”

  • Chad Ochocinco Joins “Dancing With The Stars” 2010 Lineup

If true, Ochocinco will follow the footsteps of previous NFL stars who have appeared on the reality smash, including Warren Sapp, Emmitt Smith, and Jerry Rice. The cast of Season 10 of DWTS will be revealed tonight on the season finale of The Bachelor
