  • I had a weird dream last night…

I was tunneling thru sand with my brother, and reinforcing it as we went, and when I got near the end of what we had already shored up, I noticed the 1×2’s and the cardboard we used (just a dream, we would never use that of course in real life. Haha…) was starting to stress and sand busted thru and started covering me.

Anyway, I yelled to my brother to help me, then the dream ended.

So, I woke up and I got to thinking, and about ants, and how they tunnel, and as far as I know, there are few collapses.

Then I took it a theoretical step further. If there were collapses, do they have crisis teams that will go in and save them? Or do ants really care?

Is there like a committee set up for ants, and by ants, to investigate any types of tunneling deaths or accidents?

Something like the NTSB (National Transportation Safety Board), but for insects.

Anyone here ever think about that?

  • For Nancy…

And all of you other little dog lovers and owners. 😀

  • Nigerian scammers…

I know I shouldn’t, but I have always strung these lamers along all thru the years, thru IMs and email convos.

I constantly get them to add me to MSN as well, where I turn it all around on them, and sting them.

I even got $1000 out of one in 2002, thinking I was some kind of mark. Wrong.

    Owned.

I got one of those Nigerian scammers to add me to MSN today. The convo was much shorter then my usual since quitting time is getting close.

With that, the person went offline.

Fun times today at work. 😀

  • – Sciatica –

    I have all the symptoms.

When I walk especially. My lower back gets really sore, and my right legs gets pins and needles then eventually goes number after so much walking.

I did some research and diabeetus can cause this.

Even tho I am a pain guy, and I have a strong back due to half my job being physical labor, it still really hurts. To the point where I am sweating, but pain sweat, and feel like passing out.

    Anyone else with sciatica?

I am sure that is what it is, I am going to see the doc next week.

Maybe we could form our own reality TV series, and call it Battlestar Sciatica.

  • – Type 1 Or Type 2 –

    I got to thinking.

    What difference does it make?

We’re all nuts and in the trenches together. 😀

I haven’t had diabetes long enough to even care to differentiate.

    I like people… And that’s all I care about.

  • Do pumps have a failsafe?

What if you are sleeping, and the pump malfunctions and just keeps dosing you non-stop?

Has this ever happened to anyone? Is it possible?

  • – Old Version –

Not sure how many people know of this gem of a site.

It archives older versions of the most commonly used applications out there.

It’s a great site, especially if you want to rollback to an older version of software that may not like your operating system are hardware configuration.

    OldVersion.com

    Enjoy!

I love hi-res images, and won’t use anything less for my desktop.

I thought some of you cat lovers may like this.

  • McDonalds…

    Here’s a question.

When is this chain going to offer a whole wheat bun, or whole wheat tortillas for their wraps?

Maybe they do elsewhere, but not here in Nova Scotia.

I got a Big Mac last night, and a wrap, and while i was eating them, I pondered that.

I mean come on, it’s not the seventies/eighties anymore. People are more health conscious now.

  • – Lantus Vs Humulin N –

I have only ever used Humulin N(NPH) for my basal insulin, and I use approximately 50-60 units a day.

If using Lantus, in your experience, would the usage units be similar?

I guess it varies from person to person, but I am wondering, typically, if it would go up or down.

I know NPH insulins don’t last as long, and they have a peak, but I am wondering how much of a difference it would make.

  • I have a question about Australia…

Does Australia float around? Or is it stuck there?

  • – Love Thread v3.0 –

I love all of you guys!

I know I can be "colorful" at times, and a bit forward, but that is me.

That is who I am, and not some docile phony persona.

You guys have come to mean alot to me, and I apologize that I don’t always get back to you in PM. Some of you talk almost as much as I! Almost. :T

This forum, and the staff, and the members, literally saved me.

I am very aggressive when it comes to educating myself, and I am obsessed with learning everything about this.

I am going to back off a bit, as it is consuming me. It is starting to stress me again, so I will just flow…. 😀

    So…

    Let’s have another love thread!

  • – Rainman – Diabetes Version –

Iris: So, what are you doing in Las Vegas?
    Raymond: We’re counting carbs.
    Iris: You’re counting carbs?
    Raymond: We’re counting carbs.
    Iris: That’s interesting.
    Raymond: We’re counting carbs.
Iris: I know you’re counting carbs, what else are you doing?
Raymond: Are you taking any prescription medication?

Sorry, I was bored and my mind is always going. 😀
