Nothing is more important than family to Beyonce Knowles, which is why the songbird was not only on hand to support her younger sister, Solange, during her DJ set on Tuesday night, but she even treated lucky partygoers to a freestyle a cappella performance! Beyonce, 28, and hubby Jay-Z, 40, rolled up to NYC’s Lower East Side lounge The Eldridge (where the younger Knowles sister is a regular on the turntables) late night on Jan. 26 to catch 23-year-old Solange’s DJ set. “B and Jay were having a blast,” a club insider tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “They were dancing and laughing and really into the music. Beyonce even got on the mic and sang Sweet Thang! She and Jay were having a genuine good time.”

The 21-year-old singer shared her first concert experience with iTunes. “My very first arena concert was Beyoncé/Alicia Keys/Missy Elliott [in 2004]. I think it was the ‘Ladies First’ tour,” she said.  Despite her bad seats, she will always remember that special night. “I was in like a nosebleed seat, but I was in tears. I could not believe that Beyoncé was right there, and Alicia Keys and Missy Elliott.”  Rihanna was in awe of the artists she now considers her peers. “I was a little starstruck. No, I was very starstruck, but it was so much fun. It was very inspiring and it motivated me so much.”

What, apart from a well-deserved break, is next for Beyoncé? Well, if all goes according to some elaborate blueprints drawn up by noted Robert Pattinson aficionado Simon Cowell, then a stint on his hit British series X Factor as a guest judge. This would then make Beyoncé the third pop diva to serve on the judges’ panel, the other two being Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue. Confides a source, possibly Minogue’s unborn baby, “Simon leaves nothing to chance and is planning for the future already. He wants to bring in Beyoncé. And what Simon wants, Simon gets. Expect Beyoncé on the panel. Nothing has been confirmed yet because the deal hasn’t been sealed…but she’ll be there in some form.” Adds the source, “It’s difficult to get A-listers to commit to a six-month slot as a full judge, but a fortnight is a lot simpler. Simon wants to extend the mentoring to the judging panel so you get to hear what the stars really think.” More complications have arisen though, as Cole herself may leave the talent show at the end of its next season, to pursue motherhood or the American Dream.

Beyoncé Knowles used to press her hair with an iron.  The pop superstar — whose luscious locks are rarely out of place — admits she and her Destiny’s Child bandmates grew into the habit of putting their hair on the ironing board and ironing it!  “I remember when I started doing my hair myself — I cut bangs, and I started curling my hair and pressing it, literally, with an iron,” Knowles, who’s married to rapper Jay-Z, told Allure magazine. “The girls from Destiny’s Child, we would put our hair on the ironing board, and iron it, which is so crazy!  “My mom [who used to own a hair salon] was like, ‘We have to get you out of your own hair, because you are destroying it!’”

Popstar Beyoncé Knowles is addicted to playing online games with strangers as her opponents have no idea they’re pitting themselves against a superstar.  The ‘Halo’ hitmaker unwinds by spending hours in Internet chatrooms playing card games, Allure magazine reported online.  The 28-year-old singer admits she gets a secret thrill out of remaining completely anonymous amongst her rivals and not revealing her true identity.  “I play with everybody, and they curse me out when I make mistakes, and kick me out of the room. I love it, it’s really fun because no one knows it’s me.”

Beyoncé and Jay Z who, after watching a catwalk show, headed out for dinner at exclusive restaurant L’Avenue in Paris last night.  Beyoncé, her studded leather gloves and Jay Z are now set to arrive in London later today where they’ll be fronting the London leg of the Help Haiti marathon.

Simon Cowell is putting together a charity single to raise money for earthquake hit Haiti. It’s claimed Prime Minister Gordon Brown personally asked the X Factor judge to put together a track.  Cowell told The Sun: “We are going to do a single. We only made the decision today. I have got to get it together in 24 hours.”  Now it’s claimed massive stars like Beyoncé, Lady GaGa and Robbie Williams could record parts for the song.  This Friday acts including Beyoncé, Coldplay, Jay-Z, Christina Aguilera and U2 will perform at the Hope For Haiti Now telethon – which has been organised by MTV and George Clooney.  Jay and U2 have also recorded a song to raise cash for the cause.

In a recent poll conducted over 4,000 Brits, the most photogenic woman has been unravelled. And no, it’s neither Angelina nor Megan Fox.  The head that was crowned the winner belonged to the beautiful Cheryl Cole who garnered the highest number of votes to edge past yesteryear actress Audrey Hepburn and the reigning sex-bomb Angelina Jolie.

This is a Jay-Z quote but I’m posting it because it applies to Bey as well. The “Beyoncé and Jay-Z are devil worshippers and part of the Illimunati” stuff is getting real old and tired. CLEARLY it’s not true, so I just wish people would stop trying to make something of what isn’t there. Earlier today, Jay-z spoke with Angie Martinez of Hot 97 about claims that he is a “devil worshipper” and part of a secret society:

I don’t know where it started. I don’t know where it came from. I really think it’s really silly. For the record, I of course believe in God, but I believe in one God. If people must know my religious beliefs, I believe in one God. I don’t believe in religion. I don’t believe in Christians or Muslims. I think all that separates people. I think it’s one God. I think it’s all the same God, and I don’t believe in Hell. But as far as God, of course I believe in God. Am I a part of some sect or cult? That sounds stupid to me. It’s like ignorant to even say, and umm… I guess that’ll be the last time I address that. It’s ignorant to me

Do you believe that those sort of organizations exist?

I think there are cliques of friends that control things. I don’t if there is a devil worshipping sect. That’s a little Tom hanks. I believe there are cliques of people that control the world…but that’s just natural process. I’m sure Obama has his people and everything is good but as far as how far people are taking it…

So you don’t intentionally do this to put people in a frenzy?

I’m an entertainer at the end of the day. Maybe I’ll push your buttons but you know…

Jay-Z and Beyonce earned $122 million together between June 2008 and June 2009, more than any other couple — married or unmarried — in entertainment. The list makers at Forbes are at it again, this time determining Hollywood’s top-earning couple.  Beyonce and Jay-Z beat out the competition not only by churning out hit songs but also by attaching their names to Budweiser, American Express and a host of other brands. In this relationship, the wife out-earned the husband, $87 million-$35 million.

This girl is mad talented. No lie. I had chills the whole time she was playing.
