Jennifer Lawrence is becoming one of the hottest actresses in Hollywood, who can seem to do no wrong. Whether she’s smoking some weed with no make-up on, or making a reference to beating Meryl. While she is most likely enjoying this hot streak, she most likely doesn’t want that to turn into literal fire. Which nearly happened at a party taking place at the 66th Annual Cannes Film Festival.

Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth were in the V.I.P section for a party celebrating the release of ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’. All was going well, until an 8-foot column that housed a large number of candles fell onto them as they enjoyed drinks on a sofa. Any huge Jennifer Lawrence and/or Liam Hemsworth can rest easy, as neither of them were harmed in the accident.

According to an inside source, “They both jumped up when it happened, and thankfully no one was hurt. Liam and Jennifer both seemed pretty calm about it and laughed it off. They almost caught fire – – literally.”

Although she came close to getting burned, it sounds like she had a good time getting together with the cast of The Hunger Games at Cannes.

Jennifer Lawrence is no stranger to near accidents, as proven by her endearing fall at the Oscars earlier this year.

Apparently, Seth MacFarlane and Universal enjoyed making loads of money together on the film ‘Ted’, as they are teaming up again to release ‘A Million Ways to Die in the West’. The film is being billed as a western comedy, which will see MacFarlane co-write, direct, produce, and star in the project.

According to IMDB, the story will follow a cowardly farmer enlisting the help of a gunslinger to win back the woman who left him. More details surrounding the film have surfaced as well; we know MacFarlane will be playing a sheep farmer named Albert. The film is already packed with star studded talent, as Charlize Theron, Liam Neeson, Amanda Seyfried, Sarah Silverman, and Giovanni Ribisi have all been reported to appear in the film. The movie is slated to release May 30th, 2014.

The movie ‘Ted’ raked in $549 million, which undoubtedly lead to the quick team-up of MacFarlane and Universal so soon after their first work together. Along with the western comedy, there have been rumors that the film company is interested in releasing ‘Ted 2′. There have been no concrete details released concerning this project, however.

As you can see by the clip below, MacFarlane is no stranger in poking fun at cowboys and the west. Though that can really be said of any topic, when dealing with Family Guy.

Another story has been added to the Boston Marathon bombing that occurred in April, as one of the suspects, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, is being investigated in connection with a triple homicide that happened in 2011. The murder took place on the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, in an apartment in Waltham, MA.

Tsarnaev has multiple links to the case. First, he was known to be close friends with one of the vicitms, Brendan Mess. According to the investigations, Tamerlan’s cell phone was used near the murder scene, around the time the murders occurred. His fingerprints were found on the scene as well. All of this evidence has lead investigators to dig further into Tsarnaev’s involvement.

There has been no official arrest, due to the evidence not putting Tsarnaev at the apartment when the crime took place. The murders were unusual, as two of the victims had their throats slit and were found together. Mess, Tsarnaev’s friend was found away from the other two bodies, and investigators believed he was killed during a physical struggle. Marijuana was sprinkled over the two bodies whose throat was slit as well.

Unfortunately, beyond the evidence above, nothing concrete has been found in terms of establishing a primary suspect, or motive. There are many theories surrounding the case, including money, or the killings being used to send a message. None of the DNA investigation has provided anything substantial in providing a suspect at the scene of the crime.

The Boston Globe originally broke the story in April, though the latest details have just started rolling in this week.

The “Why Pay More” value menu for Taco Bell could be seeing the exit soon, if the fast food company decides to take their “$1 Cravings Menu” beyond the testing stage and into Taco Bells across the country. The new menu is currently being tested in Kansas City and Sacramento, with the results potentially leading to a nationwide change.

The menu looks to cover most of the major Taco Bell food groups – burritos, tacos, quesadillas, and sweets. One distinct change to keep in mind is that the Cravings Menu would replace the tiered value menu that saw some items at $0.79, $0.89, and $1. Below is a promo image of the potential menu change.

Rob Poetsch, a spokesman for Taco Bell, said this of the impending change, “At Taco Bell, our value menu is our entire menu. So when consumers are looking for what they get for what they pay – whether it be Fresh Mex with our Cantina Bell Menu, signature beverages or snacks with our Happier Hour Menu, or a dollar menu with our $1 Cravings Menu – Taco Bell can’t be beat”

Depending on your thoughts concerning Michael Bay, Megan Fox, trampolines, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, your feelings about this story could vary. However, there’s no denying this fact, Megan Fox will be jumping on a trampoline during some portion of Michael Bay’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles live action/CGI film.

From the photos below, we can discern a few things. First, Megan Fox will most certainly be playing April O’Neill, the Channel 6 reporter of TMNT fame. Also, Will Arnett’s role will be a cameraman, and has the potential to play a shady character in the TMNT series. Perfect for Will Arnett.

The use of Megan Fox in TMNT sparked interest among the industry and those who keep up with movie news, due to the falling out between her and Michael Bay during the Transformers series. Apparently, the scars have mended, as the two are back together with trampoline jumping action!

Rumors are circulating that the concrete prime time schedule at Fox News could be due for a shake up with the recent contract renewal of up-and-coming news anchor – Megyn Kelly. She has been the host of “America Live” for the past three years, and has gained renowned for her anchoring duties during election nights. Along with Kelly, Fox News veteran, Greta Van Susteren has renewed her contract as well.

There have been whispers that Kelly could be replacing Susteren’s coveted 10pm spot, due to Kelly’s heightened popularity, and falling viewership for Susteren’s show. A move of this size would be considered huge, considering most of the nighttime personnel has been the same for years, with – Hannity, O’Reilly, and Susteren.

Kelly has owned the 1pm-3pm slot, enjoying the highest viewership of the programs in the Fox New’s afternoon lineup. Fox News, according to Mediaite, is staying hush-hush about the contract renewals and time slot shake-up.

Ah, high school, rife with awkward growth, social situations, and trying to just make it to college so you can party somewhere other than a field or at a parent’s house. A high school in Issaquah, Washington has taken the awkwardness to a whole other level, by none other than rating the hotness of their female peers. In an online tournament called ‘May Madness’. The high school females are pitted against one another, and the boys vote on who’s the sexiest.

According to a local news affiliate, the tournament has become a tradition in the last five years, and there’s nothing the local school district can do to shut it down.

According to the local school district, they’re powerless to do anything beyond discouraging the tournament since the contest doesn’t take place on school grounds. The police have gotten involved in the past, able to shut the site down temporarily due to vulgar and profane comments attached to people’s names, but were only able to do so much. Many parents, students, and community members have spoken out against the contest, claiming it sexualizes young girls, leading to self-esteem issues.

Sarah Niegowski, the district’s spokesperson, said this about the people running the website, “These are pretty smart folks behind this. They know their first amendment rights. They’re very quiet about who it is and the group behind it”

There is a May Madness Facebook page, however, there are only photos of the boys attending the school. According to those who have been tracking the contest, the people running it have done a good job in keeping outsiders from accessing it.
