  • eBay Deal of the Week: 1973 Dodge Dart Sport

    1973DodgeDartSport_1

If you’re a Dodge fan then this may just be the perfect little car for you. This is a 1973 Dodge Dart Sport that would make the perfect starter MOPAR for those looking to get into the hobby. The recipient of a recent repaint in its original B5 blue, this Dart sports a 340 cu.in. V8, 904 transmission and an 8 3/4 rear-end with brand new 3.73 gears. A new vinyl top was also installed, along with a stripe kit, rear deck lid spoiler and hood scoop. The engine bay and interior look to be in meticulous condition thus giving this old Dart Sport some very serious curb appeal. The starting bid stands at $16,700.00, which may seem high. However I can assure you that it would be almost impossible to put something like this together for under that price point. • Ice Driving in 911 Rally Cars – CHRIS HARRIS ON CARS

    Below Zero Ice Driving

Growing up in New York State meant that we were privy to wonderful hot summers and terrible, snow-covered winters. However as a teenager with a fun, rear-wheel drive car at my disposal, those winters were the stuff that drifting dreams were made of. Get a little packed snow, drop my then 1984 300ZX in 2nd gear and PRESTO! Fun for hours. Chris Harris recently took my adolescent antics to the 100th degree when he traveled up to Sweden to partake in the Below Zero Ice Driving School. Click through and check it out.

  • The Next Range Rover, On and Off-Road Review

There are two type of Range Rover enthusiasts out there. Those who like to be seen in them, and those who actually purchase them for their off-road abilities. Unfortunately the vast majority of owners (like 99%) dump big money on these wonderful machines for the sole purpose of being seen. Matt Farah of The Smoking Tire recently headed to Arizona on Range Rovers dime to sample the new 2013 line of Rovers, so make sure to check it out after the jump.

  • 1951 Ford Custom Club Coupe: HemmingsTV

    1951 Ford Business Coupe

The 1951 Ford Custom Club Coupe is the quintessential old school business coupe. It’s got great lines, a simplistic interior and when maintained properly, will literally run forever. Owner Eric Ralle has been the caretaker of this all original example for the past 27 years and is very proud of the fact that – “it’s just the way Henry Ford built in back in 1950.”

Yes Eric, it most certainly is.

  • Bathurst 12h 2013, Holden’s Race crash

    Bathurst 12h

Watching the unfortunate crashes that recently took place at the 2013 Bathurst 12h was somewhat bittersweet. This series is reminder of what used to take place during the heyday of Trans Am racing here in the United States. Sadly, I supposed all we can look forward too now are the Monterrey historics that take place on one Sunday in August during the week of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance at Mazda Laguna Seca raceway. Click through and watch as a few classic Holdens meet their demise during the race action.

  • Speedrun: Back to the Future in 60 seconds

    Back to the Future

Almost 30 years has gone by since Back to the Future hit the big screen in 1985. Back then cars were slow, fashion was terrible and cocaine was all the rage. Thankfully time has marched on, and while most of the 1980′s has been forgotten, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t thankful that Back to the Future still remains. Oh, and for those of you who have never seen it before, here it is wrapped up into a 60-second montage.

  • Flake & Flames – Kustom Kulture Film

    Hot Rodding

There’s really no one way to describe what hot-rodding is to people. Some perceive it as a bunch of guys that roll around in shitty old cars trying to look cool. Others view the hobby as one that brings out the best of your automotive imagination. Whatever group you fall into though, rest assured that most true hot-rodders could give a shit what you think and simply roll to their own tune. Flake & Flames is an upcoming documentary that explores rods in general and gives us all a little insight into why the custom car culture is one of the greatest hobbies to be associated with. • Team Door Bangers “The Delivery”

    Team Door Bangers

There are pizza delivery guys, and then there are PIZZA delivery guys. Think about this for a moment. You call up Domino’s, order your pie and then, 30-minutes later a tricked out BMW E46 M3 slides up to your front door hot pizza in hand. Now I don’t know about you, but if that happened to me I’d be giving the driver the biggest tip he’d ever seen. Click through and check it out.

  • You’re Doing it Wrong: Russian Crash Compilation

    Russian Crashes

Here in the United States driving is a privilege, not a right and Americans view their licenses as gold. We study, take courses and ultimately take a long drawn-out drivers test in order to be deemed “competent” to operate a motor vehicle. In other parts of the world though it seems that not only does driver training not exist, but that there are also no negative ramifications for taking out another motorist. The following crash compilation comes to us from Russia, and hot damn if it’s not one of the best we’ve seen to date.

  • Track Tested: 2013 Chevy Corvette 427 Convertible

    2013 Chevy Corvette 427

With all the hoopla surrounding the recently released 2014 C7 Corvette, it seems that people are forgetting just how good the outgoing C6 actually is. To cap off their final production run Chevrolet has seen fit to release the final edition by way of the Corvette 427. That means 505 hp, an almost 200 mph top speed and a roof that disappears at the touch of a button. The other thing to consider is that dealers will be HEAVILY discounting the current crop of C6 Vette’s currently on the market, so if your interested, now is the time to act!

    The Smoking Tire Venom GT

Not too many of us have actually been over 200 mph, unless that is, you were flying at over 36,000 feet. Matt Farah of The Smoking Tire and DRIVE’s TUNED recently took an opportunity to break this barrier by climbing behind the wheel of John Hennessey’s insanely fast Venom GT, a car that recently ran its way into the record books. What’s even crazier though is that he did this in the Venom GT Spyder because his helmeted head wouldn’t fit in the coupe! Click through to check out the video.

  • Drifting in the middle of the highway in California

    California Drifter

If you check you’re favorite automotive sites on a daily basis then you’ve no doubt seen the group of jackasses that shut down a Northern, CA freeway so they could do donuts. Well it comes to our attention that they’re now not only wanted by the California authorities, but that a few internet bloodhounds are eagerly trying to track them down as well. It’s no secret that people like to have a little fun in their rides every now and then, but doing something as stupid and reckless as this is simply unacceptable.

  • Off-Road in the Snow on a KTM 990 Adventure – RideApart

    RideApart

It’s one thing to be riding on a motorcycle and to get caught in dodgy weather, but riding through it on purpose? That’s another story entirely. On this, RideApart’s season II finale, two-wheeled superhero Jamie Robinson climbs aboard a KTM 990 Adventure and heads for the back hills of Colorado where he faces ice, snow and or course, the occasional dirt trail. He also proves once and for all that motorcycling is not so much about the bike that you ride, but about the adventure that it takes you on.

    Porsche 911 RS

If there was a way to combine the two though, would you do it? Jack Olsen, owner of this vintage Porsche 911 RSR did just that with a car that he fell in love with the first time he saw it.
