The bitter winter afflicting much of the Northern
Hemisphere is only the start of a global trend towards cooler weather
that is likely to last for 20 or 30 years, say some of the
world’s most eminent climate scientists.

Their predictions – based on an analysis of
natural cycles in water temperatures in the Pacific and Atlantic oceans
– challenge some of the global warming orthodoxy’s most
deeply cherished beliefs, such as the claim that the North Pole will be
free of ice in summer by 2013.

According to the US National Snow and Ice Data Centre in Colorado,
Arctic summer sea ice has increased by 409,000 square miles, or 26 per
cent, since 2007 – and even the most committed global warming
activists do not dispute this.

The scientists’ predictions also undermine the standard
climate computer models, which assert that the warming of the Earth
since 1900 has been driven solely by man-made greenhouse gas emissions
and will continue as long as carbon dioxide levels rise.

Myleene Klass was said to be “aghast” and
“bemused” after being warned by police for waving a knife
at youths who entered her garden.

The TV star and Marks & Spencer model was in the
kitchen with her daughter upstairs when she spotted the teenagers
peering into her window just after midnight on Friday. She grabbed a
knife and banged the windows before they ran away.

Hertfordshire Police officers warned Miss Klass she should not have
used a knife to scare off the youths because carrying an
“offensive weapon” – even in her own home – was
illegal.

Her spokesman Jonathan Shalit said the former Hearsay singer was
“utterly terrified” and was stepping up security at the
property near Potters Bar.

‘Explosive emails
released last week could see Treasury secretary Timothy Geithner become
embroiled in criminal charges for his role in a cover up that exposes
the monumental criminality behind the $182.3 billion bailout of
American International Group Inc. In
November and December 2008, The Federal Reserve Bank of New York
instructed the bailed out AIG to hide from the public details regarding
payments the insurance giant made to banks, including Goldman Sachs
Group Inc. and Societe Generale SA.

Using Fed secured
taxpayer bailout money, AIG paid several banks 100 percent of the face
value of credit-default swaps, as other financial institutions were
negotiating deep discounts for the unregulated paper assets that do not
have to be backed by cash. The decision to pay the banks in full may have cost AIG, and therefore taxpayers, at least $13 billion over the odds.’

‘An 85-year-old woman who
was terrorized by airport security thugs at Ottawa Airport yesterday
got little sympathy from Canadian transport minister John Baird, who
refused to apologize, warning that disabled grandmas will continue to
be treated as possible Al-Qaeda suicide bombers.

“Baird was asked by
media Sunday about the treatment of the four-foot-10, 90-pound woman
who was travelling from Ottawa to Toronto on Dec. 28. The woman was
asked to remove her boots and then unzip her pants. A female inspection
officer then poked at her abdomen,” reports the Montreal Gazette.

These are the same thugs
who will be sitting in back rooms enjoying high resolution naked images
of your children once full body scanners are rolled out nationwide.’

‘In what is being heralded as a landmark
decision, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit
recently declared that police officers could be held liable for using a
Taser without proper cause. And in making their determination, the
court also set new legal parameters on how law enforcement is to use
Tasers, stating, “The objective facts must indicate that the suspect
poses an immediate threat to the officer or a member of the public.”
The federal finding substantially changes the landscape of Taser usage,
and may signal the end of Tasers for law enforcement agencies who are
now more vulnerable to civil and criminal action then ever before.’

‘Hundreds of public sector workers who claim their lives have been wrecked by vaccines say the Government has abandoned them.

Up to 200 doctors,
nurses, firefighters, prison officers, police officers, forensic
scientists and binmen say they have developed serious physical and
mental health problems after injections essential for their work over
the past 10 years. All have given up their jobs and some are now 60 per

believing that our approaches reveal the biological basis of psychic
suffering and dispel prescientific myths and harmful stigma. There is

of the world to think like us, we’ve been exporting our Western
“symptom repertoire” as well.

That is, we’ve been changing not
only the treatments but also the expression of mental illness in other
cultures. Indeed, a handful of mental-health disorders —
depression, post-traumatic stress disorder and anorexia among them
— now appear to be spreading across cultures with the speed of
contagious diseases. These symptom clusters are becoming the lingua
franca of human suffering, replacing indigenous forms of mental
illness.’

‘The TSA has been lying
to the American people about full-body scanners. The agency has
insisted that these “digital strip search” machines are incapable of
saving, storing or transmitting the images they take. This, we are
told, makes it okay for people to be digitally strip-searched.

But secret documents
uncovered by the Electronic Privacy Information Center have revealed
that these machines do indeed posses precisely such capabilities.
According to TSA specification requirement documents that have been
uncovered by the EPIC, all full-body scanners purchased by the TSA must
have the ability to both save and transmit the scanned images of air
passengers.’

‘The
U.S. Army will double the value of emergency military equipment it
stockpiles on Israeli soil, and Israel will be allowed to use the U.S.
ordnance in the event of a military emergency, according to a report in
Monday’s issue of the U.S. weekly Defense News. The report, written by
Barbara Opall-Rome, the magazine’s Israel correspondent, said that an
agreement reached between Washington and Jerusalem last month will
bring the value of the military gear to $800 million.

This is the final phase of a process that began over a year ago to
determine the type and amount of U.S. weapons and ammunition to be
stored in Israel, part of an overarching American effort to stockpile
weapons in areas in which its army may need to operate while allowing
American allies to make use of the ordnance in emergencies.’

‘ “The army’s anti-aircraft guns fired
at four enemy Israeli planes that had been overflying the (southern)
area of Marjayoun this morning,” an army spokesman told AFP. According to the report, about 70 rounds had been fired at the Israeli aircraft. The Lebanese army reports almost every day violations of its airspace by Israeli warplanes.’

‘The bombings will be
carried out in order to create a pretext to launch a campaign against
Al-Shabab, a spokesman of the group, Sheikh Ali Mohammed Rage, told
Reuters. “We have discovered that
US agencies are going to launch suicide bombings in public places in
Mogadishu,” he told reporters. “They have tried it in Algeria, Pakistan
and Afghanistan… We warn of these disasters. They want to target
Bakara Market and mosques, then use that to malign us.”

At a meeting with tribal
elders in Mogadishu on Monday, the Al-Shabab spokesman said that
mercenaries of the Xe private security firm — formerly known as
Blackwater — have arrived in the Somali capital, the Press TV
correspondent in Mogadishu reported on Monday.’

‘The United States Federal Reserve is
making an effort to block a court decision on divulging the
government’s trillion dollar program to save major US banks. The
US central bank has asked the Court of Appeals in Manhattan to refrain
from revealing the ’secret identities’ of the country’s main creditors
in a move against the Freedom of Information Act, Bloomberg reported on
Monday.

In their appeal to the court, the Board
of Governors of the Federal Reserve System wrote,
“Confidentiality is essential to the success of the board’s
statutory mission to maintain the health of the nation’s financial
system and conduct monetary policy”.’

‘We all see so much stuff on the web
about the Freeman movement that it’s become difficult to decipher

here in Britain. Our real government, in that it now makes most of our
laws, resides in Brussels, and on January 1, following the coming into
force of the European Constitution (aka the Lisbon Treaty), we were due
to get a new set of European Commissioners. But with the exception of
its president, José Manuel Barroso, none of the appointees can
take up their posts until hearings have been completed in the European
Parliament.’

‘The Israeli occupation authority (IOA)
has decided that all Palestinians living outside the separation wall
that isolated eastern Jerusalem from the West Bank would not be
considered inhabitants of the holy city.

Hebrew daily Ha’aretz quoted an official
responsible for eastern Jerusalem affairs in the Israeli-controlled
Jerusalem municipality as saying that those people, although owning the
blue IDs allowing them residence in Jerusalem, would no longer be
considered inhabitants of the city.’
