‘Villagers in southern
Afghanistan have claimed that Afghan and Nato forces killed 13
demonstrators after a group of people took to the streets to protest
the alleged desecration of the Quran. Residents
in Garmsir district of Helmand province on Tuesday said that Nato-led
forces raided a house in the area on Sunday and destroyed copies of the
holy book in a local mosque.

Haji Abdul Manan, one of
the protesters, told the German Press Agency, DPA: “The people came out
of their homes today to protest this action of foreign forces in a
peaceful way, but the Afghan and international forces opened fire on
us.” He said more than 20 others were wounded in the firing.’

‘The United States has
offered its full-fledged support for the building of a wall by Egypt to
disrupt the Gaza Strip’s lifeline that moves basic items underground
past the Israeli-imposed blockade.

The construction of the
steel tunnel-impervious wall, believed to have started some time in
November, comes in line with Israeli and Egyptian accusations that
Palestinians resistance fighters use the tunnels for procuring and
storing weapons for use against the Israelis.

Washington, the chief
Israeli baker, echoed the allegations on Tuesday and voiced support for
installing the steel walls, which are reported to be designed by the US
army engineers.’

‘Quite the most striking
aspect of Alastair Campbell’s evidence to the Iraq War inquiry is that
most of it was untrue. Blatantly, breathtakingly untrue.
Take his claim that he was not making the case for war when he produced
his dossier on Saddam Hussein’s (non-existent) weapons of mass
destruction.
Oh, yes you were, Mr Campbell. That was the whole point of the exercise.

Or take his assertion: ‘I
don’t think we were ever saying, “look, Saddam has got these weapons
and can whack them off to Cyprus in 45 minutes”.’
Isn’t that precisely what he was saying? Or if it wasn’t, why didn’t he
set the record straight when the whole country ‘misinterpreted’ him?

decade, in March 2000, the European Union heads of state announced the
Lisbon Strategy. Its aim, by 2010, was to make Europe “the most
competitive and dynamic knowledge-based economy in the world, capable
of sustainable economic growth with more and better jobs and greater
social cohesion.” This would create “the conditions for
full employment and the strengthening of regional cohesion in the
European Union.”

As the second decade of
the 21st century begins, the aspirations set forth in the Portuguese
capital have evaporated. Instead of full employment, Europe is gripped
by mass unemployment; instead of economic growth, there is stagnation;
in place of cohesion, there is discord. Even the common currency, the
foundation of the lofty plans of Lisbon, is in acute danger.’

‘If the government isn’t doing anything to fix this dangerous situation, we’ll have to do it ourselves. As
a start, if Congress won’t reimplement the Glass-Steagall Act (the
Depression-era law which previously separated depository functions from
speculative investing), let’s manually separate these two types of
businesses. How?

Simple: let’s pull our money out of the too big to fails and put it into small community banks and credit unions. The
giant banks may still make bucketloads of cash on their casino style
speculative gambling (for now, at least), but after we’ve moved our
deposits to more responsible, smaller banks which don’t gamble as much,
then we will have manually separated depository banking functions from
the giant banks’ speculative investing.’

‘A Saudi scholar says Riyadh’s
allegation that ‘Iran is meddling in Yemen’s domestic affairs’ is part
of a US conspiracy against the Islamic Republic.

Ali Al-Ahmed, the founder and director
of an independent think-tank in Washington told Press TV that Saudi
Arabia follows the United States’ policy and fuels the West “anti-Iran
wave” in the region.’

‘A major earthquake
rocked Haiti, killing possibly thousands of people as it toppled the
presidential palace and hillside shanties alike and leaving the poor
Caribbean nation appealing for international help. A five-story UN
building was also brought down yesterday by the 7.0 magnitude quake,
the most powerful to hit Haiti in more than 200 years according to the
US Geological Survey.’

‘An Obama executive order that creates a
council of state governors who will work with the feds to expand
military involvement in domestic security has stoked fears that the
administration is stepping up preparations for martial law.

The order, which is entitled
Establishment of the Council of Governors (PDF), creates a body of ten
state governors directly appointed by Obama who will work with the
federal government to help advance the “synchronization and
integration of State and Federal military activities in the United
States”.’

While some sunlight has been shed on the
hefty sums shoveled into congressional campaign coffers in an effort to
influence the Democrats’ massive healthcare bill, little attention has
been focused on the far larger sums received by President Barack Obama
while he was a candidate in 2008.

A new figure, based on an exclusive
analysis created for Raw Story by the Center for Responsive Politics,
shows that President Obama received a staggering $20,175,303 from the
healthcare industry during the 2008 election cycle, nearly three times
the amount of his presidential rival John McCain. McCain took in
$7,758,289, the Center found.’

Netanyahu declared on Tuesday that Israel would never cede control of
united Jerusalem nor retreat to the 1967 borders, according to a bureau
statement. The statement came after
Egypt’s foreign minister said in Cairo last week that Netanyahu was

has revealed, is trying to get rid of £1billion-worth of unwanted
swine flu vaccine – because the deadly epidemic they were promising us
all last year never materialised.

Several things are shocking about this
revelation, not least the charge by the Council of Europe’s head of
health that major drug companies might have leaned on the World Health
Organisation (WHO) to stoke up last year’s scare by warning that swine
flu could be a worldwide ‘pandemic’ killing tens of millions. Certainly,
those companies have made vast fortunes out of selling the vaccines

either being banned or in the process of being banned in most Western
Countries. With “heroin”, Bayer’s relabeling of a narcotic was/is
standard procedure for any Illuminati owned pharmaceutical company.
Claiming it was “non-addictive”, when in reality it was a purer form of
chemically synthesized Opium, is criminal at best. Even more

‘You’ve got to hand it to these
New World Order policy wonks sitting there in their corporate funded
think-tanks, you really do. They’re clever. They get what they
want by promoting the opposite of what they want. The mainstream
media and schools promote a ‘diversity’ agenda.
‘Common Purpose’ trainees are instructed on how to enforce
the same. We must not discriminate against any person on the basis of
their nationality, their race, their sex or their sexual
orientation. 

Sounds like a good idea. Doesn’t
sound like war against the family, the Christian religion and the
dominant cultural group in the country, particularly the male of this
dominant group, does it? Let us look at what modern culture has done to
principle. Let us look at the effects of the social engineering that
continues to be quietly inflicted against us. Let us try to be aware of
the cultural onslaught that has all but destroyed our society and (one
hopeful thing at least) our belief in this society.’

‘A report says a high-profile
neoconservative think tank in the United States is reportedly working
to establish a link between Iran, the Yemeni opposition groups and
al-Qaeda militants. The alleged
connection between Iran, the Shia Houthi fighters in northern Yemen,
the Yemeni separatists in the south and the militants has been the
subject of discussions between Chris Harnisch and Frederick Kagan, two
scholars at the American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy
Research (AEI).

Harnisch and Kagan have been at work for the past six months to make the connection, the report said.’
