A remortgage is when a homeowner changes his mortgage from one mortgage lender to another for a variety of reasons.
Someotimes it is simply to obtain a better rate of interest to simply save money on a monthly basis.
At other times the homeowner wants to raise money for a variety of reasons, and these purposes are many fold.
A remortgage is for example an excellent way of arranging debt consolidation. This is when an individual has a number of debts in credit cards, personal loans, hire purchase, etc.and wishes to combine these debts into one much lower monthly repayment.
With remortgage rates starting at present at less thn 2% APR it is apparent how much can be saved by using a remortgage for debt consolidation.
Credit cards have a minimum interest rate of 20% alhough many are much higher than this at in excess of 40%.
Home improvement loans if arranged by the home improvement company have rates at about 25%, and so debt consolidation via a remortgages affords enormous savings.
Remortgages can also be taken out to buy a car, motor home, caravan,boat ,motorbike, etc. etc.
A remortgage can release equity to fund a holiday, a wedding, etc. etc.
The bottom line in fact is remortgages can be used for almost any legitimate purpose.

Looking at the specs, it looks like a decent model for the price. Does anyone have a plasma, or if they know about plasmas, does this look like a decent one?
If I do decide to get this, I will have a problem getting rid of my old one, since it weights 220 pounds, and I can’t move it by myself. Plus, even if I had help moving it, what would I do with it? The Goodwill doesn’t accept TVs that weigh that much, plus they don’t pickup in my area anyway, so I’d need to find someplace to unload it. You never think about things like this when you buy it. I hate to just throw it away, since it still has a lot of life left in it. I guess if I lived in a big city, I could just leave it on the sidewalk and hope that someone would steal it.:D
Robbie Bach, president of Microsoft’s entertainment and devices division, spoke to Financial Post today about Microsoft’s X-box, Zune and Windows Mobile business.
Speaking about Microsoft’s relationship with Windows Mobile OEMs and the amount of input Microsoft had in quality control of Windows Mobile smartphones, he said:
A You have a dichotomy: choice versus control. When you go out and look at the wall of PCs, part of what makes that wall of PCs is that the [manufacturers] have the freedom to create what they want to create and that choice is tremendously valuable to consumers. The reason it works in the PC space is because early on we did choose to exercise some management of what makes a PC, and there are standards that were developed – largely by us – but with some other people, and so Windows 7 works great on lots of devices. I will tell you if there’s a place where we haven’t done as good work is in the mobile space. We’ve been, in a way, too focused on how many devices we could have and not focused enough on making sure that the base quality of those devices is very strong. So one of the things we are working on with our [manufacturing] partners is ensuring that those experiences are consistent and work great and that the base line that you start with is always rock solid.
Speaking to the Zune part of the business, he once again denied Microsoft was making a Zune phone, but said it was clearly inevitable that the technology would make its way into a phone itself.
But it’s very clear that the portable music and video marketplace will end up being part of the phone. So that creates a new opportunity for everyone to introduce those things into phones, and the thing that has held it back has been battery life. And that’s changing. Screen resolution has also been holding it back a bit and technology is catching up on all those things. Zune HD isn’t that far away from being a phone and no, we’re not doing a phone, so please don’t start those rumours. But from a technology perspective, it’s not far away.
From other rumours we already understand future Windows Mobile 7 devices will have a lot more rigorous quality control and we would certainly be very surprised to see the new OS ship without Zune Marketplace integration.

At CES 2010, NVIDIA displayed a 7-inch Android tablet by Compal. This tablet is a concept design featuring NVIDIA’s new, Next Generation Tegra processor. The tablet features Android 2.1, WiFi, a SIM slot, an HDMI-out port and plays full HD video.
Both Engadget and Gizmodo got a hands-on with the device. In both cases the take-away is that the tablet in this early prototype form has some usability issues but excels at playing HD video.
This concept design is less about the tablet than it is about NVIDIA showcasing the possibilities of the Next Generation Tegra chip. Click on through to Engadget for a video of the HD-displaying tablet in action.

So you got your Nexus One this week and now you want to tether that new T-Mobile 3G speed. Is it possible? Of course it is. But not without rooting your handset. The guys over at (where else?) XDA forums have released an “add-ons pack” for rooted Nexus One phones which allows for both wireless and wired (USB) tethering. Also featured in this custom kernel are Busybox, Nano 2.09, powertop, dropbear.
Don’t forget kids, taking things like this into your own hands can result in some ugly results. If you’re not entirely sure you’re ready to do it, our advice is to wait. For those of you with rooting/hacking experience, you can head to XDA forums and follow along.
En general la Argentina dada la alta necesidad de tener un medio de transporte que comunique a sus ciudades logró desarrollar una infraestructura de buses y vehículos propiamente dichos de alta calidad comparable a la de países como Estados Unidos o de Europa o incluso superior.
Aquí empiezo posteando fotos y datos de la estación de Rosario. Se me ocurrió Rosario, porqué calculo que de Retiro vamos a tener mucha info y data de muchos foristas. Y así aleatoriamente dije de agregar una de alguna otra ciudad y como conozco bien Rosario, me pareción una buena idea.
Estación de Rosario Mariano Moreno
Año de construcción: 1927.
Dirección: Santa Fé y Cafferata. Rosario, Santa Fé
Arquitectos: Micheletti y Channourdie.
La estación terminal de ómnibus Mariano Moreno ubicada en la esquina de la calle Santa Fe y Cafferata, fue proyectada por los Arquitectos Micheletti y Channourdie y construida por la Empresa Constructora L. Falcone.
El edificio, que representó un hito arquitectónico de referencia urbana en la ciudad de Rosario, fue en su origen Estación del ferrocarril Provincial de Santa Fe, colocándose su piedra fundamental el día 1 de diciembre de 1927.
El Ferrocarril Provincial de Santa Fe era de la Compañía francesa Fives Lille, que en 1888 habilitó la línea a Santa Fe y en 1927 construyó la actual estación.
Luego con el crecimiento de la trama urbana sufre un desplazamiento hacia sectores periféricos que permitían mayor espacio para su funcionamiento dejando así el sector desaprovechado. El 1 de diciembre de 1950, se realiza el acto de inauguración oficial como Estación de ómnibus del servicio sub e interurbano.
La terminal, que sirve a más de un millón de usuarios al mes, está adaptada a las necesidades contemporáneas y cuenta con todo tipo de servicios comerciales además de incluir servicios de Internet WiFi. En ella funcionan cerca de 40 locales comerciales de los rubros gastronómicos, farmacia, kiosco, locutorio/ciber, marroquinería, productos artesanales y venta de revistas y diarios, en un área de aproximadamente 1200 m2.
Hoy se discuten proyectos para restaurarla y modernizar los servicios brindados por esta estación, siempre respetando su estructura original.
La obra apuntaría al reordenamiento y la revalorización del edificio histórico, además de la jerarquización de espacios públicos y privados adyacentes en el área delimitada por Córdoba, Cafferata y Santa Fe.
Una vez adjudicada la obra se comenzará con el cambio del piso, una segunda etapa de impermeabilización de los techos, arreglo de mampostería y pintura general. El proyecto es integral y contempla una reforma estructural del edificio ubicado en el predio delimitado por las calles Santa Fe, Caferatta, Córdoba y Castellanos, en el que se ampliarán y mejorarán las áreas de servicios, a través de inversiones básicas en materia de infraestructura.

The Addis Ababa City Administration will today inaugurate the biggest condominium site built in the city in the presence of ministers, high-ranking government officials and Ambassadors, it was learnt.
The site, named Jemo Condominium Site, is a cluster of 10, 064 condominium houses expected to accommodate over 50,000 dwellers, the size of a population that outnumber many towns in the country, according to the city officials.
Unlike the other condominium sites under construction in various parts of the city and its peripheries, the Jemo site project has a sewerage system stretching 29km around the site, with a 9km passage linking the system to the citys main sewerage line.
The site has a 6.1km asphalt while there are 52 communal facilities which will serve the dwellers for various functions including abattoirs and laundry.
The Jemo site is built in Lideta and Gulelle subcities.
The aerial shots of the event will be taken and transmitted live on the national TV on the day of the inauguration.
The ceremony will be celebrated at the national level.
The city administration is expected to hand over the condominiums within one year of the inauguration.

It wouldn’t make any sense for Fiat to break Ram into its own brand and then not do anything to showcase it. This is just speculation for the moment, but Ram’s first steps into the spotlight could be with two trucks called the Laramie Prospector and Laramie Western Sky.
Those names come from a list of monikers Chrysler has trademarked for new models. Others, like the Chrysler 300 S8 and Dodge Nitro Detonator, we’ll get up close and personal with at the Detroit Auto Show. Those Laramie models, though, haven’t been mentioned anywhere or revealed on any Ram trucks yet. Of the five Ram trims available, Laramie is the highest, but there are no special editions within it. The Prospector and Western Sky could change that, and we’ll be looking out for them next week in Detroit.
