KARACHI- Defence Housing Authority has undertaken a huge construction project, regarding this is the Defence Authority Creek Club which plans to provide lodging facilities to its members along with changing the fa_ade. For some time, the authorities felt the dire need for a guest house and outstation guests of the members of the club.
Hence, having realised this; DHA has realised the need to construct the Creek Lodge.
With ninety-five rooms being build with a five-star hotel standard and styles; the building is to be located adjacent to Carlton Hotel and is said to be completed in two years time period.
The building will comprise of a basement, ground floor and five upper floors. The basement is set to house as many as twenty eight cars. The ground floor would consists of a conference hall, coffee shop, cooking area and a business room.
One of the elitist housing facility in the posh locality, it will provide a better living accommodation to those who plan to visit the city for a short duration of time. It will be open for members and their relatives to be able to enjoy the luxuries of life, away from home.
Other construction programs by DHA includes the famed Creek Vista, the twelve towers having over seven hundred and twenty apartments; having been allotted to three hundred allottees and now more than forty families are residing in these apartments.
Creek Vistas are a newer edition to the family of construction projects undertaken by DHA, completed under the specified time period and allocated to the allottees last October.
Construction works are required in phase seven and eight of DHA that duly follows that better facilities be provided as well, for there is often news to the fact that there is a water shortage problem that needs to be addressed apart from road repairs.
