  • Effective Treated Depression

If you’re currently feeling so out of it, totally out of your normal system and just basically hating and ignoring almost, always everything and anyone that comes along, try to get yourself checked by a psychiatrist because you those little mood swings and erratic Ally McBeal-ish behavior that you’re trying to ignore for some long may actually be symptoms of depression. Act fast because if you do, it’ll certainly be a lot harder for you to be able to have yourself cured from this illness, especially once self-delusion starts to kick in.
Actually start by healing your depressed ass into the hospital and get yourself diagnosed by a reputable psychiatrist, one that’ll actually help you with your depression concerns, answer all the possible questions that you may have when it comes to depression as well as provide you with the best available to depression treatment that’ll make you give yourself some good-old, yet extremly effective depression help. All it needs is the right attitude.

    effective treated for depression

After actually being honest with yourself when it comes to actually being a patient who is suffering from depression, quit turning youself into a victim and find out from these various types of depression the actual one that you’re suffering from: Manic or Bipolar depression – characterized by sudden and extreme changes in one’s mood wherein one minute he or she is in an elevated state of euphoria while the next minute (day or week) he or she is feeling to be in a personal hell, Postpartum depression – characterized by a prolonged sadness and a feeling of emptiness by a new mother wherein physical stress during child birth, an uncertain sense of responsibility towards the new born baby can be just some of the possible factors why some new mother go through this, Dysthimia – characterized by a slight similarity with depression, although this time, it’s been proven to be a lot less severe, but of course with any case, should be treated immediately, Cyclothemia – characterized by a slight similarity with Manic or Bipolar depression wherein the individual suffering from this mental illness may occasionally suffer from severe changes in one’s moods, Seasonal Affective Disorder – characterized by falling in a rut only during specific seasons (i.e. Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall) studies however, prove that more people actually fall in to a rut more during the Winter and Fall seasons and lastly, Mood swings, wherein a person’s mood may shift from happy to sad to angry in just a short time. But in spite of how scary or how daunting a task is the road towards a sound mental health is, depression help abounds and is just up to you if you’re willing to take in some of that depression help, may it be from your family, friends, support group and mainly starting from yourself, there really is a lot of depression help to go around.
The old adage, slowly but surely greatly applies in trying to treat depression, as the patient continues taking the prescribed medicines for his/her depression treatment, as well as the corresponding therapy sessions with the cognitive behavior therapist, a patient being treated from depression needs all the support and depression help that he or she can get.
While being treated for depression, the patient as well as his or her family and other loved ones are advised to make realistic goals concerning depression wherein, to not assume that their depression can be easily treated in a snap. Depression help begins with trying to understand the patient’s situation and continue on being patient as well as always extending your help because depression help is never easy nor is the depression treatment itself, which is why both patients and loved ones need to help each other out through every step of the way. Never set goals that are high above your reach, give yourself some depression help by not being too hard on yourself, believe that you are good and strong enough to achieve your goals but only one step at a time.

  • Are the Polar Ice Caps Melting? by Rebecca Terrell, New American

    Article Tags: Rebecca Terrell

“The entire polar ice cap … could be completely ice free within the next five to seven years.” So claimed global-warming magnate Al Gore at last December’s UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen.

The scientist he referenced, Dr. Wieslav Maslowski, is a Department of Oceanography professor with the U.S. Naval Post-Graduate School. Maslowski denied making the prediction in an interview with the U.K. Times Online. “I would never try to estimate likelihood at anything as exact as this.” A shamefaced Gore admitted gleaning the “ballpark figure” from a conversation he had with Maslowski several years ago. Yet only days before Gore’s Copenhagen speech, the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI) published a report of Maslowski’s research. It read, “Should the present trend of sea ice melt continue, some models suggest that the Arctic Ocean could become near ice free in the summer time within one decade.”

To further confuse things, DMI records show practically identical total sea ice area measurements in the Arctic for the past five years. However, DMI qualifies its data, noting that the age and thickness of Arctic ice is changing dramatically and citing research from the U.S. National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC) in Colorado that Arctic sea ice is melting at a rate of 11.2 percent per decade. The NSIDC explains that more ice than usual has been melting in summer months during recent years. New ice cover is relatively thin, weak, and more vulnerable to melting. Remarking on the data, NSIDC Director Mark Serreze said, “We still expect to see ice-free summers sometime in the next few decades.”

  • Gartman: The Volcker Rule WILL Be Enacted, But It’s “Abundantly Wrong”

Dennis Gartman appeared on Squawk Europe overnight, and contrary to the latest chatter, he’s predicting that the Volcker Rule will in fact end up being enacted, an outcome which he called “very sad.”

    Why?

Because prop trading had nothing to do with the crisis, which was all about the government pushing more bad loans.

He also predicted it will cause havoc in financial markets, and a loss of liquidity.

  • Google Discovers — Again, Though No One Remembers — That People Don’t Like Paying For Video Online

I have to say that I’m a bit perplexed at what appears like worldwide amnesia over the fact that when Google launched its Google Video platform, its main focus was on charging people to “rent” videos on its platform. There was a ton of press and excitement over it, with lots of people claiming that Google was going to remake the video market online, and lots of money would be made. And then… nope. People didn’t pay. Instead, they all jumped over to an up-and-coming site called YouTube that didn’t charge and Google eventually bought them out while quietly shutting down its pay-for-video efforts, which no one missed. And I guess because no one missed it, everyone seems to forget it exists, even though we try to remind people that Google tried this and failed.

But, instead, we get those professional journalists at the NY Times pointing out that this latest very poorly received pay-for-video trials are the company’s “first forays” into charging for video content. Apparently the new test brought in a whopping $10,709.16 over the course of 10 days (and five movies). Google is trying to spin this as “exceeding expectations,” but it’s hard to see how that’s the case. There may be models that get people to pay (Netflix’s subscription model seems to get people to pay simply for the convenience factor), but I think direct charging like this is unlikely to get very far, and Google, of all companies, should know that, even if everyone else has forgotten.

  • Mel Gibson Calls Reporter Dean Richards “An Asshole” [VIDEO]

Well, this is uncomfortable: Mel Gibson lost his cool — again — during an interview with WGN entertainment reporter Dean Richards last week. The furious actor/director branded Richards an “asshole” after he was questioned about his addiction to alcohol and infamous anti-Semitic rant four years ago.

Richards was quizzing Gibson about his new film The Edge of Darkness when he asked the Braveheart actor if he was a different person since the events several years ago.

“It’s a real rollercoaster ride. You know I think I’m the same person I always was except for…..time teaches and you learn as you go,” Mel replied.

When Richards quizzed Gibson on his drinking problems and anti-Jewish rant to a police officer in 2006, a visibly annoyed Gibson answered curtly: “That’s almost four years ago dude. I’ve moved on…I guess you haven’t. I’ve done all the necessary mea culpas….um, let’s move on dude, c’mon.”

The interview continued with Mel angrily slinging back his coffee before cursing Dean as the program went off the air.

  • You Could Not Make It Up: Distorted view through the climate gates by Richard Black, Environment Correspondent, BBC

    article image

Much has been written – not least on this website – and much more surely will be written over the coming months about supposed inconsistencies, errors, misjudgements and poor practice among climate scientists.

How many “scandals” do we now have with the suffix “-gate” attached to them? At least five, by my count, with the most embarrassing surely being the projection that the mighty Himalayan glaciers could largely be gone within a human generation.

The latest -gate – detailed in a series of articles in The Guardian by environment journalist Fred Pearce – concerns a set of temperature data from China that was used in a 1990 paper in Nature to estimate the likely impact of progressive urbanisation on temperatures recorded at weather stations.

  • Florida Burger King Adds Beer to Menu

    B6DF26DC-BBCF-4A73-8130-6D4DB142C920.jpg

Why has it taken fast food joints so long to figure this one out? At Burger King’s new “Whopper Bar” in South Beach you can order a beer along with your burger and fries.

The Burger King will be offering Anheuser-Busch and MillerCoors to South Beach partiers as part of a pilot program. If it catches on Burger King will expand the Whopper Bar to places where tourists congregate like Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and New York.

The beer is served in a specially designed aluminum bottle and costs $4.25. But fear not – if you get the value meal it’s only 2 bucks. While beer in fast food restaurants in Europe is fairly common, this is a first in the U.S. I say it’s about time!

Other features include LED day driving lights and a new exhaust system with four pipes.

Lorinser has also added a small spoiler on the roof of the E-Class coupe, although the most noticeable thing at the front is perhaps the lack of the Mercedes badge on the front. The Lorinser E-Class coupe has wheels that can measure up to 20 inches and a sports suspension lowered by 30 mm. There’s no word on the engine tuning yet, but we think something will turn up.

  • Nokia: Ovi Maps With Free Navigation Averages A Download Per Second, 1.4M Total

I’m starting to suspect people like free stuff – a shocker, I know.

Nokia says the new version of Ovi Maps that includes free walk and drive navigation has been downloaded over 1.4 million times since its introduction on 21 January 2010.

Nokia says the 1 million mark was reached after just one week following the launch, and the company’s Executive VP Anssi Vanjoki adds that they’re currently seeing ‘a download a second, 24 hours a day’.

As of 31 January 2010 the top five countries downloading the new version of Ovi Maps were: China (!), Italy, UK, Germany and Spain. The top five most popular Nokia devices installing the download were: Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, Nokia N97 mini, Nokia N97, Nokia 5230 and Nokia E72.

From next month, all new Nokia GPS-enabled smartphones will include the new version of Ovi Maps, pre-loaded with local country map data, with walk and drive navigation and access to Lonely Planet and Michelin travel guides at no extra charge.

Nokia clearly wants a piece of the fast-growing market of location-aware applications, and is looking for third-party developers to fill the gaps when it comes to content, new services and additional features.

Also, as my esteemed colleague Greg Kumparak so eloquently put it when Ovi Maps with free turn-by-turn navigation was launched:

If Google didn’t kill the standalone GPS market when they announced free navigation for the Android platform, Nokia may very well have just pushed the knife that last inch.

  • CCTV solutions featuring full control system integration

    R. STAHL is introducing a CCTV complete solution for safe and hazardous areas that can be integrated in plant control systems. The ActiveX and OPC software interfaces are used to fully integrate the cameras. The camera signals can then be easily incorporated into process images and can be displayed at any operating station, from where the video equipment can also be directly operated. Cameras, software solutions and HMI systems can be supplied as a complete package including all accessories such as cables, switches and terminal boxes as well as keyboards, joysticks and other input devices.
In the case of conventional video surveillance systems, operating staff usually have to keep an eye on a special monitor in the main control room. In contrast to that, surveillance systems that are fully inte-grated into the control system of the plant can supply video signals to any HMI operating station, and also support remote control from these stations. By inte-grating video signals via ActiveX controls a camera view can be allocated to a process image window simply by dropping and briefly parameterising a Drag&Drop object. The remote control of the pan and tilt heads as well as the cameras’ zoom is implemented by R. STAHL with the help of the non-proprietary OPC standard (OLE for Process Control), which is supported by all current automation systems and is implemented in these as a standardised I/O interface. Three camera types are available for installation in hazardous areas. The pan/tilt EC-730 is an autofocus camera with a classic design. Its 22x zoom is supple-mented by an 11x digital zoom function for extreme magnification. The EC-730 is suitable for ambient temperatures ranging from -30 °C to +50 °C and also has a seawater-proof aluminium housing. Thanks to its zero-lux night vision mode the camera can also be used in very dark environments. The second model is the extremely compact, spherical EC-710-090 which, due to its diameter of only 55 mm, fits into the smallest spaces. The fixed camera viewing angle is +/- 90° horizontally and 68° vertically. Although the EC-710-090 weighs a mere 435 grams, its steel housing can withstand aggressive chemical substances and protects the camera from substantial mechanical stress. Located under a transparent dome, the third Ex-protected camera is the EC-750, which gives users maximum flexibility, particularly for an all-round view. With a tilt angle of ±90° it can freely pan across 360°. It has an 18x zoom lens.

  • Steve Ballmer to appear at Mobile World Congress

microsoft-mobile-world-congress-2010-1 Microsoft has been doing it all it can to stage manage their Mobile World Congress event, including trying to to suppress all (of their own) Windows Mobile 7 leaks.

This effort included to not giving any indication to who will be speaking at Microsoft’s MWC event on the 15 February.

Unfortunately it seems there was again some communication error inside the computing giant, and a banner has been popping up on the site advertising Steve Ballmer’s presence at the event.

This, amongst many other things, is another indication of the importance of the event, and with the Windows Mobile 6.5.3 announcement out of the way, again raises the odds of Windows Mobile 7 being shown off.

  • Filamatic Expands Monobloc Capabilities

    January 2010

    Filamatic Expands Monobloc Capabilities

From 10mL to 1000mL Square Containers
Baltimore, MD – Filamatic has created a Monobloc Fill/Finish Packaging System with the ability to accommodate different container sizes and shapes, expanding its capabilities once again.
The Monobloc is ideal for the Pharmaceutical industry since it is engineered to perform multiple tasks within a compact footprint. These systems can perform a wide range of tasks such as sorting, feeding, filling, plugging, stoppering, crimping, capping, induction sealing, labeling, and accumulating. Due to the extreme accuracy needed for the Pharmaceutical industry, the containers used for the Monobloc were typically small.
When approached with the task of filling containers with larger fill volumes, Filamatic decided that it would be a project well worth undertaking. Equipped with movable trolley assemblies, and a chuck-style capping system, the Monobloc filled containers ranging in sizes from 10mL to 1000mL, larger than the normal range of 0.5mL to 500mL. This integrated packing system also included an unscrambling table for the round containers as well as a linear feed system that was customized for the square containers running on the same line.
All Filamatic Monoblocs are digitally controlled with menu-driven programs that electronically adjust operating parameters for quick and easy tool-less changeovers. A wide assortment of liquid products can be filled into an array of containers including microtubes, cryovials, glass vials, and plastic containers. An optional HEPA filtration system can also be incorporated to provide positive pressure airflow within the machine environment.
    About Filamatic
Filamatic, a division of National Instrument, LLC, manufactures liquid filling equipment and integrated liquid packaging systems. They have been serving the pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, cosmetic, chemical specialty and food industries since 1950 and have thousands of liquid filling machines in operation around the world.
