  • Stillen Supercharges VQ V6 Engine on Nissan 370Z and Inifinity G37

    The 331 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque Nissan 3.7 liter V6 VQ powerplant that can be found under the hood of the Nissan 370Z and the Infinity G37 is a pretty nice toy, but it never truly fulfills the need for raw power, so a tuning package for it is more than welcome.

    Apparently, this opinion is shared by the U.S. tuner Stillen, who has developed a supercharger kit that brings the engine to 438 hp (515 flywheel hp, as measured on the dyno) and 343 lb-ft of torque.

  • McLaren MP4-12C Gets 1,600 Orders So Far

    Although McLaren will only be starting delivering the MP4-12C in spring 2011, sales for the supercar are off to a flying start. Recent reports state that since the first images with McLaren’s latest supercar were unveiled last September, there have been 1,600 people that have signed official expressions of interest in buying it.

  • Bertrand Baguette Lands Indy Seat with Conquest Racing

    Bertrand Baguette’s impressive performances in the Formula Renault 3.5 series last year paid off, as the 24-year old Belgian has recently secured a full-time racing seat with IndyCar Series team Conquest Racing. Baguette is set to join Mario Romancini – also a former Formula Renault racer – in Eric Bachelart’s lineup, after securing the sponsorship for a full campaign in 2010.

  • Survey Shows People Put Off Car Servicing

    After commissioning a survey, the aftersales team from Vauxhall found out what activities people usually put off. It has consequently emerged that DIY takes first place, with 42 percent of the votes, exercise comes in second place with 32 percent and car servicing third with 26 percent.

    Consumers who don’t like servicing their car were split into two sections: some said that cost is their reason for postponing the activity, while other said that they prefer more interesting activities.

  • Fiat 500EV Official, ENVI Reborn

    After several months of contradictory rumors surrounding the possible future of the electric Fiat 500, American manufacturer Chrysler broke the silence today and announced the car will make it into production, and Chrysler will build it for the US.

    Although this is not per se the revival of the now defunct ENVI program, it is a big step in the right direction. In fact, the Fiat 500EV will be US’ first home-built mainstream electric vehicle and will become available starting 2012.

  • Renault Had Changed F1 Engine Prior to Bahrain

    French manufacturer Renault denied that it has been permitted by the International Automobile Federation (FIA) to make changes to their engines for the 2010 season of Formula One.   • Alfa Romeo Giulietta, Priced at 20,300 Euros [Video]

    Italian manufacturer Fiat removed the shroud which surrounded the pricing information for its Alfa Romeo Giulietta model, with the car starting at 20,300 euros for the base version and going to as much as 29.000 euros for the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Quadrifoglio.   • Daimler Enters Leasing Market in China

    Daimler is expanding its range of services for the Chinese market, as the company announced that it entered the country’s vehicle leasing segment, as Gasgoo reports.

    Daimler AG’s joint venture with Beijing Automotive Industry Corp (BAIC) established a partnership with BetterLife and Fortis for the development of the new business. New cars produced by Beijing Benz will be leased by BetterLife for terms between three and thirty six months, with the actual financing being provided by Fortis.

    The Municipal Transport Company of Madrid (EMT) has set itself a bold target, planing to become Europe’s best public transport company.
