  • Adrian Sutil Tops Morning Practice in Bahrain

    The first practice session of the 2010 Formula One season has ended, and the first blow came from Force India Mercedes’ driver Adrian Sutil.   • Volvo Celebrates PV36 75 Years at TechnoClassica

    Volvo Cars has announced that it will be present at this year’s TechnoClassica Show in Essen, Europe’s biggest show for classic cars and automobilia. Volvo’s theme will be called Volvo PV36 75 years.

    At TechnoClasica, which will be held in April 7 to 11, Volvo’s display will focus on the PV36 model, also known as Carioca. Considering the heritage and the place the Carioca has in both the automotive history and in the brand’s history, Volvo decided this was a birthday worth celebrating.

  • Peugeot Hoggar Unveiled

    French manufacturer Peugeot officially presented a pick-up version of the 207 in South America. Dubbed Peugeot Hoggar, the new pick-up is not the ordinary 207 from the European market, but is, in fact, a facelift version of the 206, which is marketed only in South America.

    Peugeot Hoggar is a new addition to the 207 line from Brazil, after the saloon, hatchback, SW and SW Escapade versions.

  • Ford Fusion Refreshes Kraft Foods’ U.S. Fleet

    Ford announced that it will deliver 2,500 2010 Ford Fusion models to Kraft Foods, as the latter is planing to renew its U.S. car fleet in order to reduce fuel costs.

    Kraft Foods has chosen the Ford Fusion after conducting a throughout cost analysis that included multiple vehicles from a wide range of automotive producers. The two companies have been collaborating on vehicle fleet matters for over 25 years.

  • HP Becomes Official Partner of Renault F1 Team

    Renault has finally secured an official partner for the 2010 and 2011 Formula One seasons. After several sponsors left the boat last year as a consequence of the crash-gate in which the French manufacturer was involved, the new Genii Capital-controlled outfit managed to get back in business by signing a 2-year major sponsorship agreement with global technology leader HP.

  • NHTSA Says 2009 Fatalities Lowest Since 1954

    US traffic seems to have become safer. According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, the number of overall traffic fatalities reported at the end of 2009 reached the lowest level since 1954, dropping for the 15th consecutive quarter.

    The motorsport division of BMW seems to be getting involved in all means of transportation and doesn’t stop at cars, as the two-wheeled vehicles from BMW also have an M touch here and there. The BMW S 1000 RR motorcycle is also considered to be an M on two wheels.
