    Here’s a new one! Mercedes will not offer Michael Schumacher EUR7 million as a retainer for the 2010 Formula One championship, but EUR21 million.   • Superchips Introduces 2010 ECU Remap Offer

    Superchips, an UK automotive electronics specialist, introduces an ECU remap line-up for a large pack of important 2010 model year cars.

    The offer includes new firmware for 2010 vehicles that are equipped with the Bosch MED17 and EDC17 ECUs, thus including vehicles from brands like Audi, BMW, Mercedes, SEAT, Skoda, Volkswagen and Volvo. A total of 147 variants, that cover 51 cars belonging to 15 brands, are offered.

  • Jeep Wrangler Gets Ultimate Edition on the UK Market

    Jeep is introducing a new special edition for the Wrangler model, the Wrangler Ultimate, destined for the UK market.

    The Wrangler Ultimate is based on the 2.8 liter CDR Sahara model featuring a five-speed automatic transmission. The car’s four cylinder diesel engine produces 177 HP and 339 lb-ft (460 Nm) of torque.

  • BMW Z4 GT3 Photos Released

    What in the end of 2009 came as a rumor has been confirmed this week when the first photos showing the BMW Z4 GT3 hit the web in force.

    Denise Gray, the head of the General Motors Chevy Volt battery development team, is resigning and will join an unidentified start-up battery company based in California.

    The executive will leave GM on March 5, after being a part of the small purpose-created team for over three years. GM’s director of global battery systems engineering, Ronn Jamieson, will take Gray’s responsibilities until a permanent replacement will be found.   • Tata Motors Secures EIB Loan for Hybrid Jaguar Land Rover Cars

    Tata Motors has announced the securing of a 340 million pounds loan from the European Investment Bank for Jaguar Land Rover (JLR).
