Authorities in New Zealand are pulling out all the stops to ensure that Bieber Frenzy doesn’t result in another Tween Stampede when Canadian heartthrob Justin Bieber visits the country later this week.
Following a chaotic scene in Australia Monday, which led to the cancellation of the star’s show in Sydney, officials in New Zealand have stepped up security ahead of Bieber’s free concert at the Strathallan School in Papakura on Wednesday.
Police are arranging police escorts for Justin and have taken special care to keep the teen sensation’s arrival secret in a bid to prevent the fan riots that have marked Justin’s stops around the world, including one in Long Island, New York — where more than a dozen girls were trampled after a Bieber CD signing at a local mall was cancelled over security concerns last Oct. 30.
A spokesperson for Auckland Airport tells The New Zealand Herald: “We are meeting with police and other airport security tomorrow morning to discuss the issue.”
The 16-year-old singer was signed by Usher’s record label Island Def Jam Music Group at the age of 14, after his mother posted videos of him singing at talent shows on YouTube. The singer is promoting his album My World 2.0, which peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard charts.

In a case of Erykah Badu Deja Vu, M.I.A.’s new video “Born Free” is so graphic its been pulled from YouTube. The Sri Lankan rap star’s nine-minute short film has been banned from YouTube.com due to its disturbing scenes of graphic violence.
The controversial footage premiered on M.I.A.’s official website on Monday, but the hitmaker revealed shortly after that thanks to bosses at her label UMG, the video is not welcome on the world’s leading video sharing website.

Olivia — who is a regular fixture in men’s mags like Maxim and FHM — explains she had no problems stripping for the new campaign: “I had seen a video online about the mistreatment and abuse of these elephants at the Ringling Bros. circus event, and I was brought to tears.”
The poster, in which Munn poses in front of a backdrop of elephants in their native environment, will sit perched high above Wilshire Boulevard with the tagline: “As Nature Intended, Let Elephants Be Free. Boycott the Circus.”
Kelly Osbourne has landed herself in hot water after telling British consumers that the spray tan she uses — and endorses — for its ability to give her porcelain skin a bit of sass is also slimming to her waistline.
The rock princess came under fire this week for saying that St. Tropez spray tan makes her look skinnier than she is.
“I looked healthy, I looked like 10 lbs. skinnier, and it started to make me look at my body in a different way,’” she said in the controversial ad, which has since been banned. “It made me look at what looked better rather than what I didn’t like, and I kind of got addicted.”
The campaign, supported by The Prince’s Trust — an organization that helps disadvantaged kids, of which Kelly is an ambassador — pulled the ad from the airwaves after complaints from parents flooded in following Kelly’s “skinny” statement. Parents argued the spray tan company’s message was inappropriate for the disadvantaged children the organisation seeks to help.
“I was gobsmacked. Self-esteem should be about who you are and what you’ve achieved,” said mom Abi Moore of UK parenting group PinkSticks. “Telling impressionable young girls that having a spray tan and appearing on a reality TV show is the way to make yourself feel better is about as far off from my understanding of self-esteem as you can get.”

Jillian Michaels is livid that she’s been misquoted as having told the May 2010 issue of Women’s Health that she wants children, but doesn’t plan on getting pregnant because the weight gain will “ruin” her stunning physique.
The tough-as-nails fitness guru created a stir with bloggin’ mamas when she reportedly told the lifestyle mag that she’s planning to adopt kids because she doesn’t want to ruin her super-fit figure by getting pregnant.
There’s only one problem: Jillian claims she never explicitly made such a remark.
“I never ever said that,” she emphatically told NBC’s Access Hollywood on Monday.
The portly-preteen-turned-kick-ass trainer says all she actually told the mag was: “I’m going to adopt,” and, “I can’t handle doing that [pregnancy] to my body.”
“The word ‘won’t’ and the word ‘ruin’ are not even in the article,” Jillian said emphatically. “It’s amazing, everybody’s asking about this and I’m like, ‘Did you read the article?’ ‘No I didn’t read the article.’”

Are drugs behind the early Monday morning arrest of former UFC champion Tito Ortiz, who now faces domestic violence charges for assaulting porn queen Jenna Jameson?
The martial arts star claims his ex-porn star girlfriend of four years is addicted to the powerful prescription painkiller OxyContin, and he blames Jenna’s continued drug use for his arrest inside the couple’s Huntington Beach, California home on charges of suspicion of domestic violence on Monday.
Ortiz and his lawyer Chris Matthews accuse Jameson of drug addiction and claimed Ortiz never struck her.
“Jenna Jameson has been fighting an ugly battle with an addiction to Oxycontin for well over a year, and this morning, she had a relapse,” lawyer Chip Matthews said. “We’re here because Tito was trying to help her. Tito Ortiz never laid a hand on Jenna.”
Matthews claims Tito, the 35-year-old son of recovering addicts himself, found drugs in their home Monday morning, leading to the confrontation that ended with his arrest. Matthews also claimed the 36-year-old Jameson has made 911 calls threatening suicide over the past year.
Jenna gave birth to the couple’s twin sons, Jesse and Journey, in March 2009.
Amy Winehouse was admitted to hospital on Sunday following a drunken fall which left her with cuts and bruising to her face and ribs, according to a report.
The “Back To Black” hitmaker was taken to the private Hadley Clinic in London over the weekend after taking a tumble in her Camden home, which left her with bruised ribs and a cut to her forehead.
“She’d had a few (drinks). At first she thought she had broken something, so got her security to take her to hospital. The doctors were worried she might be concussed because she had a big bump on her head and a cut above her eye,” a tipster close to the 26-year-old divulged to The Sun on Tuesday.
But in typical Amy Fashion, the “Rehab” hitmaker seems to be causing mayhem even behind hospital walls.
“Amy was running up and down the corridors with her top off and reeking of booze. She has been heard complaining of pain caused by bruising on her breasts and around her ribs. The nurses had to step in and ask her to calm down. Eventually she had to be taken back to her room. The ward sister was absolutely fuming,” the source added.
Billy Corgan really, really hates Courtney Love.
The couple — who split in 2007 — have been trading barbs on the Twitterverse for months now. Corganworked with the Hole star on several songs for her new album – but now wants nothing to do with her.
Corgan lit into Love in an interview with Rolling Stone Magazine last March, insisting that if Courtney releases their collaborations- as it appears she will – “it would be a real big problem, because I haven’t given my permission.”

Rihana, Miley Cyrus, The Black Eyed Peas, and Lady Antebellum are among the artists who will invade New York City’s Rumsey Playfield (Central Park) when ABC’s Good Morning America sets the stage for its annual Friday summer concert series on May 21.
The Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato will perform ahead of the premiere of their Disney flick Camp Rock and pop-rock icons The Go-Gos are scheduled to perform during what’s being billed as their “final television appearance” on July 16.
The concerts, which are held each Friday between mid-May and mid-August are free and open to the public. GMA encourages fans interested snagging a front row seat for the fun to arrive when the park opens at 6 AM.

Professional brawler Tito Ortiz is facing felony charges and expulsion from the UFC after allegedly assaulting the mother of his twins, former porn queen Jenna Jameson, in an early morning throwdown in the couple’s Huntington Beach, California home on Monday.
And speculation is already mounting over just what led to the bust-up between the once loving couple.
According to a ZackTaylor.ca snoop close to the couple, mutual suspicions of side hos and hanky panky are to blame for the early morning melee.
“Jenna accused him of cheating on her after he came home late last night. Tito then accused her of cheating on him. One thing lead to another, and they both lost their cool. Jenna is as much of a hot head as Tito. They have been having serious problems since their sons were born.”
Jenna — who has vowed to press charges against the father of her children — claims she suffered injuries to her arm after Tito attacked her.

Santa Barbara District Attorney Arnie Tolks said: “The court was angry. Judge Ochoa told the Quaids that he felt they’d been disrespectful and brought up the last time they came to court flashing their Golden Globe award. The Quaids apologized and told him that they didn’t mean to be disrespectful. They have been ordered to court on Wednesday for a bail hearing and premliminary hearing setting.”
The fed-up judge remanded them to custody and set bail at $100,000. The Quaids are due back in court on Wednesday.
